Hello Webkinz Newz readers, Michael Webkinz here with a special report!
When we add a new room theme to the W-Shop, we like to ask for your help with deciding which one to add. The first time we allowed players to choose a new room theme was in 2014. Players had 5 choices to pick from: Sweets & Treats, Plaid, Clothing Store, Toadstool and Lemon Drop. We released a concept drawing of each theme and left it to you to choose by holding a vote, right here on Webkinz Newz.
Players picked the Toadstool theme as their favorite, and it was added to the W-
Shop later that year.
The next theme we released was the Sweet 16 room theme. Once again this was decided by a vote on Webkinz Newz:
Then, we added the hotel theme to the W-Shop. This theme included a variety of items that you could use to build a hotel lobby and guest rooms. We actually released Haunted Hotel items later that year as Halloween prizes, which players could use to “hauntify” their hotels. Spooky!
We also allowed players to vote for our seasonal Halloween and Christmas room themes but the last permanent theme that was added to the W-Shop was the Party Time room theme. This theme was actually suggested by a fan and was picked by players by another vote on Webkinz Newz:
Soon it will be time to add another room theme to the W-Shop which will, once again, be determined by a vote right here on Webkinz Newz. How about a water park, amusement park or museum?
I have 2 I’d like to see in the w-shop the plaid room theme and the Sweets & Treats theme. Also Michael will we ever seen any new older room themes in the curio shop ? Such as the retired Lily Pad theme or the retired Egyptian theme ? Us new players would love to get those old themes also.

I’ve always been surprised there hasnt been like a western, cowboy and indian theme! You could do a tepee bed and tons of cacti and tumbleweeds!!!
That would be really cool!
Some random ideas: An all black and white theme, you could call it Noir or something like that. So your pets could look like they’re in an old fashioned movie or just use the black and white furniture mixed in with other items to add some contrast. Another idea would be a bug themed room with all things made up of butterflies, caterpillars, beetles, leaves, flowers, etc. And a third idea that I think could be fun would be a theme that makes your pet look miniature, like giant chairs that take up 4 squares instead of 1, or even small everyday items like a can or phone or hairbrush that are so big your pet can sit/sleep/play on them. I’m excited to see what the designers come up with this time! :)
Wow! Your ideas have my vote! I would love a noir theme, a bug theme, or a giant theme!
These are such good ideas! Especially the giant theme!!
Dragons , Trolls Gnomes so many different things can use this theme . Castle items can easily fit here with treasure and gems . Add a few rocky areas this has the makings of a real NICE THEME !
please add a mid century modern living room – danish type furniture or a late 1950′s theme with MCM elegance with cars & clothes to match & vintage tv/stereo.
Yes!! I thought this would be perfect theme to put the pink googles jukebox that you get fro doing challenges!! We already have a cute 50′s diner theme, why not add a cute 50′s home as well!!
Yes, this is so exciting! I would totally be into a 20′s art deco theme, a 50′s home theme, or a Victorian era theme! :D
A Victorian-era theme would be SO COOL.
