Fantastic news! The Fantastic Snowman is coming back to Webkinz Next after the next update! This fun cooperative game gives players a chance to work together to earn prizes!
The return of the Fantastic Snowman comes with a few updates. Like the Great Cake Cookoff, the Snowman will now appear on a weekly schedule, rather than every hour.
Fantastic Snowman Weekly Schedule:
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
11 am – Noon
2-3 pm
6-7 pm
Tuesdays and Thursdays
12 -1 pm
3-4 pm
7-8 pm
Saturdays and Sundays
11 am-Noon
2-3 pm
5-6 pm
8-9 pm
Plus, just like Cookoff, there will be a monthly leaderboard with a fantastic trophy for each month’s winner!
We’ve also made some improvements to the gameplay. Be sure to check out the schedule and visit Kinzville Park after the next update to help build the Fantastic Snowman. Maybe you’ll make it to the top of the leaderboard and take home the trophy!

The trophy is really cool looking, so I’m sad I have no chance at winning it as I don’t enjoy these type of events enough to play that much. Not to mention that I’m pretty sure at least one of the timings for each day(s) is in the middle of the night in my timezone. I much preferred it when this game was every hour as I could log on to play it (E.G. for seasons) whenever I was available rather than being stuck to set hours designed for a completely different timezone. It would also be helpful if these kinds of posts stated the timezone the events are in so I could more easily check the difference to my own.
Looks like fun but since I’m on normally from 5-7 am I probably won’t get a chance at playing. Same with the Cake Cookoff. I think there are many of us who play early in the day as our days are filled with other activities!
I know the idea behind “growing” the snowman (in the winter) and the flower (spring) is to have a community/team thing to do, but I much prefer the Cake Cook Off. Issue for me is the timing. For the cake cook off, the “turn” ends/finishes once someone hits 100 on all three ingredient items. The snowman and flower, on the other hand, depends on how fast you can flush out water/snow, and the more people you’ve got doing it, the faster it grows. It’s fine if you’ve got a bunch of people engaging in it, but if you happen by at a time when there’s very few people (or just by yourself as it happened to me one time), it takes foreeeeeveeerrrrr for the snowman or flower to finish growing.
um, interesting… i personally don’t care how the snowman is presented as it is seasonal & will go away. I find the cake cookoff the most annoying thing ever… from its name on. i mean, who cooks a cake? (cakes bake)… but it is awesome that the prizes can be traded. i played long enough to earn each prize category once, then traded for the other mixers. i am amazed that people have the time to devote to playing that over and over and over. lol i think you can get my meaning, or not. my time has value. good luck to all on both :) k.
I agree, I wonder how the ones who are playing every game do it.
I have been the only player in the Cake Cook off wayyyyyy too many times. It takes over 30 mins to get all 300 by yourself. The snowman & flower do not even take half that time to complete if you’re the only one. Even more than 1 in a game there are people playing that sit on the sidelines & do absolutely nothing. I have been in a group of 3-4 many times & I end up collecting over 250-275 by myself. I’ve had 2 & got 299 & 300 myself.
forgot to add.. If you are by yourself & start after 30 past the hour I have timed out more than 50 times. That is the most frustrating thing ever. Other people playing too if you don’t get to 300 by the exact time you don’t get credit for anything. When you have played over 20 mins to get there & you end without anything that is extremely annoying/frustrating. A game last night ended as I was approaching the mixer to drop the last item we needed & it turned to the 00 time & we didn’t get credit/prizes/kc/points
Not happy that the snowman has a schedule like the cake cookoff. I’m either on my way to work or at work during those hours. Again wish could have times after 12 am. Sometimes wish Farmer’s Market was open after midnight too.
Agreed! The schedules seemed like an alright idea at first, but everyone is busy at different times and in different time zones so it’s not that simple. I regularly miss the farmer’s market as it isn’t open when I do my daily login and I always to have remember (but often forget) to log onto next again later. Hopefully Webkinz will hear our feedback and try to find some more flexible schedules for things like this.

When you do the NEXT gen upgrade. Make sure the School exit from classes is fixed. I still have to HARD exit out of the progam to get out of the class room.

Very cool trophy!! Too bad most of us will have zero chance of winning it. If it’s like the cake off, sounds like we have to be able to play in every time slot in order to have a chance at the trophy. That leaves out all of us who work or go to school. Good luck to all who are able to try though, that’s a beautiful trophy! Questions: For the monthly leaderboard, is the first place trophy the only prize to be won? Do second and third place get anything special? Do top ten get anything? Thanks!
I have to add, I do love the bake off, and will love the snowman too. I just love the competitiveness of chasing down those items!
I agree with everything you shared, acoolaunt! I enjoy The Fantastic Snowman and the Cake Off very much. I wonder if those of us who have responsibilities that interfere with being able to log on to Webkinz for every game could maybe get a chance at a cool trophy, too. Maybe a top ten or twenty name being randomly chosen each month in addition to the leaderboard winner?
Me too! I’m always at the bottom of the leaderboard but it is fun when I can play.
I came in second place in November & got absolutely nothing for it. I played in the beginning of the month religiously trying to get into first but the leader pulled too far ahead so gave up playing every single game because you don’t get anything special unless you are the 1st place winner
Oh wow, that is kind of depressing, seeing how much time has to be put into trying for that trophy. There really should be something special for 2nd and 3rd place, like a medal or something. Then maybe a cash prize for the rest of top ten. Guess I’ll just keep playing for the fun of it (:
