Trick Or Treat Street Concept Drawings

The Webkinz Newz community recently chose the Treat or Treat Street theme as this year’s Halloween room theme and today, I am excited to show you the first set of concept drawings!

I really like how this theme is turning out, but there is still some time before the artists start modeling each item in 3D. This is your chance to leave feedback in the comments section below. Tell us what you like or don’t like about each item or how you would make them better. We will be reading each comment carefully and take all your suggestions into consideration before making the final items.

Here is a look at the homes that will be included in this theme. You will be able to add the homes to the border of an outdoor room to create the feel of a neighborhood that is decorated for Halloween. There will be three different homes, each featured in a unique color. You’ll be able to mix and match colors or set up a neighborhood using only one. Do you like the colors we used?:

We added the road tiles that you could collect playing SPREE to the W-Shop and now you’ll have sidewalk pieces to match them. I think they will be perfect to use as pathways leading to each house as well. The paw prints are a nice touch but you don’t need to use them if you don’t like. The sidewalk tiles will change slightly when you rotate them in your room:

This lamp post is beautiful and I love that it will glow purple when it’s turned on. The Trick or Treat banner is also the perfect touch. What do you think?:

The last concept drawing I have to show today is a hedge that is decorated for Halloween. The concept drawing features a giant spider decoration resting on top of the hedge, but it will change with each rotation, giving you lots of design options:

Don’t forget to leave a comment letting us know what you like or don’t like about each item. You could have a hand in how the final pieces will look! We will be taking every comment into consideration.

Stay tuned for some more concept drawings coming soon. I plan on posting them on Saturday, Aug 17th.

I love the houses. I too hope they cover all the spaces and not leave an odd gap. I also think that they shouldn’t be so identical. Just look at Rainbow Row in Charleston or the Painted Ladies in San Francisco.

Shout out to jaxcat2 who had an great idea about a tree with crows or ravens, I think that’s an awesome idea! Please add them decorated with Halloween lights, cob webs and ravens! It’s not a neighborhood without trees! Thank you for sharing that great idea jaxcat2! Ohhh and please leave enough space for the the road tiles and side walk tiles to fit in front of the house lawns!

Maybe one rotation of the bush could have a black cat on top? I would also love to see a black cat plush kind of like the rabbit and arctic fox from previous events or even just a recolour of the sleeping cat plush! Halloween fences would be cool too, I would love to have some that don’t have to be on the border of the room. :)

I have some ideas that might be good! I would love for there to be fencing, that way we can fence in little individual yards, but not the border fences, ones that can go in the middle of rooms and turned to easily fit spaces. And as other players mentioned, when you click on the houses, the doorbell rings, I also thought for the door to open and make this creepy creaking, and the curtains move and a spooky white ghost appears in the window! I love making stuff realistic, so maybe add lawn grass decorated with web patches, and empty candy wrappers, and some mailboxes, I would also love if we could buy small decorations that players could buy so we can all decorate using our own unique way, because most of the items will have built in decorations, just a little extra we can do on our own would be awesome! Since most room themes come with big pieces and items already to be placed, and not much smaller, more fine detailed decor, I love when we can buy smaller decorations to just design it our own way. And instead of a plain paw on the path tile, I wish it was a different creature of some sort, like a werewolf where you can see its claws in the graving of the tile, that would make it cooler! Sorry for so many ideas, I just had a spree of thoughts haha! ^-^

Some hedges WITHOUT spiders would be good as to not have a giant spider on every single hedge, lots of jack o lantern designs (A tall one, a sad one, a happy one, a evil one, etc), some spooky autumn/leafless trees with cobwebs or decorations hanging on them, some hanging plastic jack-o-lantern lights, a model skeleton decoration, hanging ghost decorations, raked leaf piles (and maybe some unraked piles too?), so many good options for decorations really, I love the halloweeny suburban feeling to it.

I personally am not a fan of the colorful houses, those kind of remind me of neon colors. But then again if we want a new idea then that’s okay! But to me, Halloween is about dark colors, like orange, black, purple or red and creepy spookiness, I’d say use darker colors for the majority of the theme like the ones I mentioned, but also incorporate brighter colors in details here an there! Just my thought’s! ;)

festive orange fairy lights would look cute strung up on the houses! maybe if each coloured house was decorated differently

Alright, I really love what you’ve got so far — BUT I do have one suggestion. I think at least one of the houses should be Victorian-style, with some turrets and towers. All the houses you have so far are quite “cookie-cutter” looking, as others have mentioned, so a Victorian house would add something unique to this Trick or Treat Street…as well as suggesting an old, spooky, possibly-haunted house among the ordinary homes on the block! BWAHAHAHAHA!! :D

    Love all of these

I love the houses! But I strongly agree with another user that I hope that when placed around the border of the room that there won’t be any gaps. The gaps really are hard to fill and always look strange. Also I love the houses as they are but it would be so great to have a black one. A creepy black mansion is perfect for Halloween. I think the cat bush looks a little too cartoon like but I love the idea. Thank you so much for making a new Halloween Theme!
