Trick Or Treat Street Concept Drawings

The Webkinz Newz community recently chose the Treat or Treat Street theme as this year’s Halloween room theme and today, I am excited to show you the first set of concept drawings!

I really like how this theme is turning out, but there is still some time before the artists start modeling each item in 3D. This is your chance to leave feedback in the comments section below. Tell us what you like or don’t like about each item or how you would make them better. We will be reading each comment carefully and take all your suggestions into consideration before making the final items.

Here is a look at the homes that will be included in this theme. You will be able to add the homes to the border of an outdoor room to create the feel of a neighborhood that is decorated for Halloween. There will be three different homes, each featured in a unique color. You’ll be able to mix and match colors or set up a neighborhood using only one. Do you like the colors we used?:

We added the road tiles that you could collect playing SPREE to the W-Shop and now you’ll have sidewalk pieces to match them. I think they will be perfect to use as pathways leading to each house as well. The paw prints are a nice touch but you don’t need to use them if you don’t like. The sidewalk tiles will change slightly when you rotate them in your room:

This lamp post is beautiful and I love that it will glow purple when it’s turned on. The Trick or Treat banner is also the perfect touch. What do you think?:

The last concept drawing I have to show today is a hedge that is decorated for Halloween. The concept drawing features a giant spider decoration resting on top of the hedge, but it will change with each rotation, giving you lots of design options:

Don’t forget to leave a comment letting us know what you like or don’t like about each item. You could have a hand in how the final pieces will look! We will be taking every comment into consideration.

Stay tuned for some more concept drawings coming soon. I plan on posting them on Saturday, Aug 17th.

I like the spooky themed houses not plain ones! A lot of people decorate their houses just like this! I wish everyone decorated really good like this in real life.

I was hoping for a more realistic look-I would love to dress my Kinz up in all the amazing costumes I have from years past and let them trick-or-treat in what looks like a real neighborhood decorated for Halloween, like my own neighborhood would be. I wasn’t expecting a “haunted neighborhood” look. As always your concept art is so cute, it’s just not what I was hoping for. More realistic, and I love the idea of the other members of a black cat. I would also like it if it was an indoor room with a night sky wallpaper, as I have a blue moon from the past that would look awesome on a starry night background. Other decorations could be a full moon with a witch flying past, and bats that you could put in the sky like a poster. The floor could be a generic grass that you could put those awesome street and sidewalk tiles on to make your own neighborhood. Street signs, your awesome lamp post, and maybe those inflatable Halloween lawn decorations that so many people put on their lawns would be fun. Thanks for reading! And thanks for asking for our input. It means a lot that you care!

I agree with this!! I wanted it to look more normal but with spooky accents. You’ll be happy to hear, however, that the blue moon is actually made to be placed in outdoor rooms!

I like the concept drawings. I hope the houses will be interactive, where our pet can go up to them and a light from the door turns on and they give you a treat of some sort. I think the lamp post is great. I like the idea that it glows purple. I like the colors used for the houses. The spider is cool. I think the sidewalk tiles are neat. I like that we can make the Trick or Treat Street how we want it. I agree that there needs to be a black cat and some jack o’ lanterns or even ghosts, witches or something along those lines. Lots of decorations that can be bought at the wshop and on the Wheel of Wow. Cool beans Webkinz!!

I love the colors on all the items! But would all the items only be for deluxe? I really hope not. :) And I think you should make a special colored house that you can try to get by eating something like the wacky milkshakes! And on the special colored house the black cat can peek out of it sometimes! I think that would put a nice touch to the holiday! And maby the food can be a spiderweb with a spider on it, and the spider can be the special color of the special color house! Hope you see this comment! Your Friend, ToothlessM06

Reading through the comments I am glad to see that the majority of people agree this is not the theme we were expecting nor hoping for. We voted for a traditionally-decorated, realistic, outdoor furniture piece. Not a ragged, cobweb-covered town. To be honest, I couldn’t even see the initial concept in a room with these items – the design elements and colour scheme don’t even match. As nice as these concepts are, they are just like all the other Halloween themes we already have. I hope you’ll stay true to your word and take our thoughts into consideration regarding the direction this theme takes. And I really hope we get a theme that matches the home-y, traditional feeling concept we voted for!!! Thanks Ganz :)
