Trick Or Treat Street Concept Drawings

The Webkinz Newz community recently chose the Treat or Treat Street theme as this year’s Halloween room theme and today, I am excited to show you the first set of concept drawings!

I really like how this theme is turning out, but there is still some time before the artists start modeling each item in 3D. This is your chance to leave feedback in the comments section below. Tell us what you like or don’t like about each item or how you would make them better. We will be reading each comment carefully and take all your suggestions into consideration before making the final items.

Here is a look at the homes that will be included in this theme. You will be able to add the homes to the border of an outdoor room to create the feel of a neighborhood that is decorated for Halloween. There will be three different homes, each featured in a unique color. You’ll be able to mix and match colors or set up a neighborhood using only one. Do you like the colors we used?:

We added the road tiles that you could collect playing SPREE to the W-Shop and now you’ll have sidewalk pieces to match them. I think they will be perfect to use as pathways leading to each house as well. The paw prints are a nice touch but you don’t need to use them if you don’t like. The sidewalk tiles will change slightly when you rotate them in your room:

This lamp post is beautiful and I love that it will glow purple when it’s turned on. The Trick or Treat banner is also the perfect touch. What do you think?:

The last concept drawing I have to show today is a hedge that is decorated for Halloween. The concept drawing features a giant spider decoration resting on top of the hedge, but it will change with each rotation, giving you lots of design options:

Don’t forget to leave a comment letting us know what you like or don’t like about each item. You could have a hand in how the final pieces will look! We will be taking every comment into consideration.

Stay tuned for some more concept drawings coming soon. I plan on posting them on Saturday, Aug 17th.

I think the homes could be a little bit different from each other. Maybe darker colors and a little bit spookier. Spooky Halloween benches, chairs so our pets could sit on. Halloween decorations on the ground like spooky pumpkins, skeletons or even a trick or treat sign. An animated tree when clicked could have a witch fly into the sky. There are so many ideas and I think this theme will be great.

Looking fantastic! I especially love that a lot of this stuff is rotatable, because not every house will be decorated the exact same way. Maybe for the next round, could we have a candy bowl that is also rotatable, showing different kinds of candy being passed out? Maybe king-sized candy bars, colorful sweets, pumpkin pops and licorice bats (great throwback to 2006 there!), and/or licorice, perhaps? (I don’t care if you switch around the candies from my ideas, but I think that the bowl would be a cool idea.)

I think the houses shouldn’t be buildings like in a city. I think the houses should be separated but the colors are nice. When you click on a house it could be like a dispenser and give out a piece of candy and have a ghost or spider or goblin pop out. Or if they’re not dispensers, then they could be clicked and creepy music could be playing. The rest I think are good enough.

Love it all! Spooky and tasteful and fun. I hope the houses are something a Webkinz can sit on/in so we can use them to block doors. If not we need something we can do that with. In any case, it’s all amazing. Can’t wait to start building!

I’m with the people who thought this was going to be “neighborhood” trick or treat, not “spooky, haunted” trick or treat. More “It’s the Great Pumpkin” idea. The hedge has real potential, though. Happy Halloween!

I love the houses and the decorated hedges! I would love to see some decorated trees to go with the theme also. As much as I love the houses that go around the edge of the room it would be amazing to have the houses available to place inside the room also. It would open up so many design possibilities.

I like the colors of the houses but they all look structurally the the same. It would be fun to have a monster, goblin or witch looking out the windows or perhaps have the windows decorated with lights instead of all cobwebs. Will the outside decorations be in portion to use previous Halloween outdoor items such as the Freaky Forest or the Tombstones that the ghosts fly out of? I have a blue moon to add to the sky and that would be a great item to add back to this theme for my other account. A statue of Frankenstein, a Vampire, ghost or witch that you walk up too and it gives you candy. I like the idea of hedges that rotate but also decorated trees that can line yards or streets. Signs that say “Beware” or “Boo” or anything Halloween related. The ideas are endless.
