Trick Or Treat Street Room Theme PART 2

On October 1st, a brand new Halloween room theme will be available at the W Shop. You’ll be able to buy the Trick or Treat Street room theme for KinzCash but, it will be removed from the shop at the end of the month, so I hope you’ve been saving!

As promised, I have the 2nd half of this theme to show you today. If you missed the first half, CLICK HERE to see it now.

The Trick or Treat Street Tree has 4 different designs that you can use to decorate. One of the designs features a beautiful fall tree without any decorations but the other designs feature the tree covered in spiders, orange lights and bats. Which version is your favorite?:

This fence is decorated with carved pumpkins and you will be able to place it anywhere in room.

Now we will finally have sidewalk tiles to match the street tiles that are available in the DECORATIONS section of the W Shop, under OUTDOORS. These are the only items that will stay in the W Shop after Halloween. The others will be retired until next October:

This lamp post will light the way for all those little trick or treaters on the big night:

Here’s a look at the hedge that will be included in this theme. You can choose to add a spider decoration to it or leave it plain (rotate the item in room to add the spider):

Finally, here’s a look at the gravestone decoration. This item has 2 different designs to choose from. These will make perfect decorations for Trick or Treat Street.

We really took your feedback into consideration when designing the final items. I hope you are happy with the way each item turned out.

Want to see how these items look like in room? During Podkinz episode 126, I actually show off 2 room designs I made using these items.

Remember, this theme will be available in the W Shop starting October 1st. What is your favorite Trick or Treat Street item? Let us know in the comment section below…

The spider hedge looks nothing like the original! I’m really disappointed with this theme. And no one from webkinz will tell me if free players can buy it.

    they are all nice.

I am glad to see that at least a few of the items can be used in non halloween rooms. Thank you for that!

Overall I am very happy with the theme. The designers were very responsive to the many comments everyone made. I hope next year they add to the theme by giving us houses that can go anywhere in the yard or room like the fences.

I agree with what many others have said, I too would have preferred a spookier Trick Or Treat Street theme. Halloween is my favorite holiday and I’ve been disappointed with the more recent Halloween Themes.

I like the lamp and the fence

Well, I like this set of items better than the first set. I still think you guys made a mistake making the houses/buildings more “family friendly”! At least you could have given us an option by allowing the buildings, and other items, to change from “spooky” to “not spooky”. At least this second set of the theme actually LOOKS like Halloween. I still think the colors of the buildings is a little too “bright and perky”. Not what I would call “decorated for Halloween”.

I totally agree with you, alucard! I, too, was disappointed to see that they changed the buildings from spooky and antiquated, to bright and modern and… well, a lot less spooky. Yes, I definitely understand wanting to make things a little more “friendly” for trick-or-treaters, but they really toned it down to a couple cobwebs and one or too pumpkins. Even in the neighborhoods I’ve been to (and yes, they are a lot of kids and young trick-or-treaters in them), most houses are a lot more decked out for Halloween than that! I understand the designers were more than likely trying to please those who wish to use these items for things other than Halloween, as well as those who don’t want things to look a little too frightening, and that’s okay– I get it! I don’t like things that are too scary, myself! (And I’m glad Ganz hasn’t gone the route of eyeballs and skeletons everywhere you look) But, at the same time, the bright colors and modernity, as well as the lack of decor, have really diminished the Halloween feel of those items. I’m glad the designers at least kept this set of items more Halloween-ish! Shame the buildings weren’t like that, too, or that, like you said, there was a “spooky” or “non-spooky” option given to those pieces. I think I was the most disappointed with the costume shop, because it appeared to be pastel pink and yellow in color– that color scheme reminds me of more of Easter, not Halloween ‘^^ But, that’s just my opinion! I still look forward to purchasing this theme regardless, though I have a feeling I won’t buy many houses… ,XD

Thanks TaffyKitty12 and MyLittlePony2010EG13! I just don’t like the “dumbing down” of Halloween. I understand some people don’t like it, and thinks it is too “scary”, but to pastel colors and call the theme TRICK OR TREAT STREET, and make it look a little too “cheerful” is kind of silly. It “suppose” to Halloween, not a cheerful Spring walk around town. Webkinz should have some courage and make a SCARY Halloween Town! People that don’t like it…don’t buy it!

Wow, I gotta say, I really like this second set of items! :D Lovin’ the dark purple color of that street lamp (wish the houses were painted a little darker, too! I probably would’ve liked them better if they weren’t so bright– they seemed kind of outta place for a Halloween theme?), as well as those little tombstones and spider hedge! I’m happy that the designers kept these items subtly spooky! =] I honestly wouldn’t have minded even more spookiness, especially in the first set of items, but, these ones are satisfying! Can’t wait to decorate with these! >^^<
