We are aware of an issue where players are unable to log on to Webkinz Classic using the desktop app, and are receiving the following message:
An unauthorized attempt to intercept Webkinz communications was detected. To protect your account, your session was terminated. Please try again later.
Our technical team has identified the root cause of the issue and are actively working on a fix. We will have the game back up and running for everyone to enjoy soon.
Please note that the mobile app version of Webkinz Classic, available for FREE from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, is still working and can be played with limited features.
We will let you know once the Webkinz Classic desktop is up an running again.
UPDATE: Webkinz Classic is back up for the desktop application. Please close and restart the application on your PCs.

Hi, I’ve been getting the error message off and on for the past few days, again today, Oct 6
Thanks for the fix but can I just say that message is incredibly menacing in its tone. Is there any way to reword it?

Uninstalled the game and now it won’t download, it gets half way then stops, I tried going threw different browsers and checked my wifi connection(which was fine) but still can’t get it to redownload

Thank you for this update. I missed playing yesterday but it looks like all my pets did okay. I gave them a little more TLC today and all is well.
