Hello again Webkinz Newz readers, Ella McWoof here with a special report! From Friday May 8 (starting at 10 am) – Monday May 11 (ending at noon) you’ll be able to vote for a new theme to be released in the W-Shop!
You’ll have 5 themes to choose from (see concept drawings below). Look over each concept drawing carefully because once the winning theme has been decided, the concept drawing will be used as inspiration for the rest of the items that will be included in the theme.
The first theme you have to choose from is the Hotel theme. This theme would have bright, colorful furniture that would be found in a hotel lobby, restaurant, and hotel room. Here’s a look at the concept drawing for the Hotel Lobby Chair:
Next is the Lemon Drop theme. This would be a bright, light room theme inspired by lemon drops, sugar and sunshine! The Lemon Drop Armchair looks very colorful:
The third theme you have to choose from is the Webkinz Sweet 16 theme. This theme would feature items that would be found in a teenager’s bedroom. Here’s a look at the concept drawing for the Cheeseburger Bean Bag Chair:
Next is the Sweets & Treats theme. This theme would feature candy inspired patterns and textures. Here’s a look at the Sweet Stripes Dining Chair:
The fifth and final theme you have to choose from is the Clothing Store theme. This theme would include everything you’d need to build a clothing store in your pet’s room including the Changing Room Chair:

Sweet 16 I made a meeting room made of food but it is mostly sweet of fruit. I want more savory food for the room
I agree. I think that burger is funny and creative. I wish everything in that theme would be food like that. Like a fry coffee table or something. Oh, and a cup waterspout. (though it doesn’t have to be water) : )
Cool! The hotel theme is great! I’m glad Webkinz is allowing us to vote for a theme. Would be nice if they would give us all of them!!!

IKR? I wish they would. It’s funny that 3 out of 5 possible themes this time are about food! Tho Sweet 16 probably will have more than just food.

Cool! I’m probably going to vote for the clothing store theme because it was a tie last year between the clothing store theme and the toadstool theme. and we got the toadstool theme! so now I want the clothing store theme
I like those too. Anything but the sweets & treats theme. We just had a candy themed room for Valentine’s Day. Also, that chair reminds me a lot of the city stylin’ theme. Something different would be good!
I like the Hotel Theme best. The lemon drop theme is too close to the fruitland theme. Didn’t we already have a sweets & treats theme? And the sweet 16 looks kind of strange.
I am either going to vote for the clothing store theme or the hotel theme. and yes TennesseeFrogs2 there is a sweet and treats theme. It used to be in the w-shop but now it is in the curio shop. so i am not exactly sure why we need another one :/ and I agree the lemon drop theme is too close to the fruitland theme.
I like the Hotel Theme, the Sweet 16 Theme, and the Sweets & Treats Theme. The Clothing Store Theme is also cool, but I don’t really like the Lemon Drop Theme.

Sweet sixteen would be a great theme! It is geared toward the teenagers, but little kids would like it too because it would feature a lot of junk food! :)

I’m not sure about the Swwet 16 theme. I would like the teenager kind of room, but it’s not like I want a junk food room!
They should have a tv and a computer that goes with the theme if it wins. I don’t personally have a tv or a computer IN my room, but a webkinz should. XD
I think sweet 16 is the most useful. And I hope not sweets and treats it is quite similar to the curio shop candy theme yes, no? For those who want to expand on that theme though, this would be a perfection.

I agree with the Lemon-Drop theme and the Sweet Treats theme. We can all have a sweet tooth once in a while. ;) Plus, you can get better by drinking a nice cold glass of lemonade. But out of those two, I can’t decide which one!

Heheh, you’re welcome. :) It’s not that creative, but it gets the point across. :P I think I like the Hotel Theme the best of these, and I actually really wanted to make a Kinzville Hotel. Then I’d have a Café, a Hotel, and I’m working on a doctor’s office, since I think we still ought to have a doctor. I think Merlin my Decade Dragon will be the doc. Also, for future reference, my Café is called “Kinzville Urban Café”. I think it sound rather nice. #TimberWolfForTheWin and #HotelThemeTakesTheCake
I love the hotel room! Although I might vote for the “Sweet 16″ room if it has a writing desk, since I think there’s not enough of those in the W-shop. Also, I hope the “Sweet 16″ bedroom isn’t like the Funky Girl or Pop Star themes and is focused on diva stuff, and instead embodies the “lazy teenager” archetype, since that would be funny (and probably fits me a lot more, haha).

Haha, thanks! I’m hoping it might lean towards the “lazy teenager” route given the cheeseburger chair (which is awesome and I would probably get one of those for my own room, haha), but it could be a conglomerate of teen stereotypes, who knows. I think the lazy teenager room would probably fit my personality, that and the artsy-type room. :P

I totally agree shirleytemplefan. Although I would choose the Lemon Drop theme over the Hotel one. I am wondering if the Sweet Treats pieces will go with the Sweets and Treats theme that I already have or if I will be designing another room. I am not sure if the concept piece they chose to show us of the Sweet 16 room is a good enough indicator for me. So far I am not quite decided on that theme.

Um, I know this isn’t all that related, but I’m extremely annoyed right now: When I was in the KC+ Park, there was another player who reported me for saying “heck”, claiming it was a “bad word”, and not long after that I got a lenghthy warning saying “Your behavior is intolerable, and may be ruining other players fun. Stop, or you will be silenced or banned”, or something like that. I don’t think this is fair at all, as I didn’t do anything against the rules.

REASONS TO VOTE FOR THE SWEET 16 THEME (Or just voting advise): 1. We have a fruit theme already, so why vote for Lemon Drop? 2. Love the hotel theme…so many possibilities! So many rooms in a hotel! I will need a lobby counter and some nice potted plants for the lobby. Oh and hotels always have a revolving door! That would be so awesome! You also need suitcases and bellboys! So many things to do at a hotel.
