We Need Your Help!

Hey guys, it’s Michael Webkinz and I’m here with a special announcement from Webkinz World Headquarters: we need your help to decide on a NEW Christmas room theme to be released in the W-Shop (for KinzCash) during the holidays!

We’ve come up with 3 ideas for you to choose from and made a concept drawing for each. Keep the concept drawings in mind when you vote because the drawing will be used as inspiration for the rest of the items that will be included in the theme.

You can vote for your favorite room theme from September 12th – 14th right here on Webkinz Newz. Once we announce the winner, keep checking back often. We’ll be showing off concept drawings as the theme is being created allowing YOU to leave feedback and offer ideas as to what we should name each item:

A theme that looks like it has been made out of Gingerbread. Each piece is decorated with icing and candies:

The patterns on this theme resemble candy cane stripes. This theme is not “made” out of candy but it does feature Candy Cane stripes and patterns on the fabric of the furniture:

A cozy, furniture theme that looks like it has been decorated for Christmas. Should use red, white and green colors & patterns:

What theme do you want to win? Do you have ideas for furniture for these themes? Please leave your comments below and remember, voting starts on September 12th!

Well, I love the idea of the “home for the holidays theme,” but I have to say I have a room that is pretty much that theme exactly with items that already exist. The Candy Cane Lane theme is definitely my favorite of the other two, since it can be done in a way that is not quite so over the top. I’d love to see some holly trees/bushes and trees with snow on them, especially potted ones that can go indoors and outdoors so I can also add them to the Christmas village I built with last year’s theme. On a more fanciful note, maybe some candycane/peppermint bushes would be nice. I don’t know how you would fit it in, but maybe you could include some chocolate river tiles for those of us who are at a loss on how to build that component of our room based on a quirky candymaker’s factory from a beloved children’s book? *hints strongly*

Also, if there are kitchen items with the Christmas theme, please don’t forget to include just plain counters. It’s so frustrating having to try to match existing wshop counters with special holiday items. Also, I loved the animated Santa’s Workshop windows a few years ago, especially the fact that they were nighttime windows and came in two sizes. Something similar to that would be awesome!

Let’s not forget about friends who celebrate Hanukkah and other holidays at that time of year.
