Webkinz Arcade: Important Notice

If you are using Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) to play Webkinz, you may be having difficulties playing in the Webkinz Arcade.

Our team has found the issue. A recent update is having problems with IE9’s Compatibility Mode. To resolve this solution, here are steps to get you playing your favorite games once again.

a)      You can use another browser, such as Firefox or Chrome. We have not found the issue in either of these browsers.

b)      To continue to use Internet Explorer, please follow these steps:

  1. Open Internet Explorer 9.
  2. Click “Tools” in the menu and you will see an option called Compatibility View.
  3. If there is a checkmark next to Compatibility View, click it to remove the checkmark. If there is no checkmark, move to step four.
  4. Open the Tools menu again. Select Compatibility View Settings.
  5. Make sure that “Display all websites in compatibility view” is unchecked, then click Close.
  6. Close and reopen your browser.

    I have internet explorer and my settings are correct (per the instructions in this comment) and my arcade games are still not working correctly, neither are the logout games.

    I have Internet Explorer 9, but your fix advice does not work. I cannot play any Games from the Arcade, only those accessed from the Daily Activities. There is no Compatibility View option in my Tools. I’ve found another place where one can turn Compatibility View on and off, from the URL, but it is not there for Webkinz.

    I also have Firefox. when I try to access the game, Spree Head to the Mall, it usually just goes to a blank screen and freezes up and I have to log out. When I log back in, sometimes I am able to play the game, but usually I just give up and try another day.

    I use Firefox and I have trouble when I try to go Shopping at the mall. The game either freezes up or just boots me off Webkinz.

    I am using Google Chrome, and I can not play Wackyer Zingoz. When i click on to play, it takes me back to the games choices.

    I have Firefox and I still can not open arcade games. only through Todays Activities, and that is only the main ones.

      Same here. I did check my Internet Explorer settings, and they are as recommended. Still can’t access several games, and Wacky’s Log Out Carnival doesn’t work either.
