We gave you a sneak peek at this pet in an earlier Webkinz Newz story, and now we’d like to present to you our newest Webkinz plush pet, the Hedgehog!
UPDATE: The darker version of the plush that you see in the video is actually an earlier prototype of this pet that was updated after Steve recorded his video. We are in the process of updating the virtual version. Anyone who adopts this pet will see the darker version of the hedgehog on their Webkinz account until August 30th, at which point it will switch to the final version with lighter face (pictured below).

Yay!!! I’m so glad that you are fixing it!! If I order the hedgehog now, will I get the darker version plush? I really want it when it’s free shipping or I probably won’t get it. And, will the hedgehog look different online still (the dark one) if I get the plush now, but enter the code late August?
Wait! So, I adopt it now, and it will be brown until August 30th? Then it will automatically change to tan? And please still reply to the plush question.

I love the plush but the virtual is not my favorite. The colors are too dark compared to the plush. It is still cute though. I love the psi.

It looks more like a Wolverine. At least we didn’t have a wolverine.
Well….I’ve been thinking about this hedgehog!!!! First, I do think the older version from years back was cuter and a little more ‘realistic looking’, but this new hedgehog is awfully cute! The virtual is actually pretty cute, too. He’s chubby! I think that’s so adorable. True, he’s a little dark–I would have preferred to see a bit more contrast in his face, but overall, I think Ganz designed another winner. I LOVE his PSI—-that “leaf Litter Nest”, with the hay covered by leaves is so pretty, and so well done. I have a bunch of farm pets who would love that bed, or something very similar. (I’ve bought the haystack bed–not sure if that’s the actual name) from the e-store, but the hedgehog’s bed is so much cuter, and more colorful.
If I win, I am going to name him Franklin.

I LOVE the plush, but uh…not so much the virtual. :/ The color is too dark, and it just looks…strange, to me. However, since I like the plushes far more than the virtuals, I still really like this pet! It looks so soft and round! ^_^ It reminds me of a tribble from Star Trek. I think I might ask my mom later if I can get one, hehe. ;)
Yea I think that the face and belly should have matched better like a light tan shade. Happy to see it was a hedgehog though. (:
Yeah, Moonie, I really agree with you. Once I realized it was a hedgehog, I knew I was going to buy it for sure, but I am not really a fan of the virtual compared to the plush. I Iike the virtual, however it looks a bit like a bear cub. I does look a bit strange. I love the plush, I have a smaller one that’s not a Webkinz. My plush one is going to be named Benjamin and my virtual, if I win, will be Franklin after Benjamin Franklin. It does look so round! I don’t Watch Star Trek, is it good? I am going to buy one, for sure ^-^
