Let’s cruise down memory lane in the coolest van ever!
As we celebrate 20 Years of Webkinz, we’re taking you down memory lane—in a Webkinz-tastic van! One of the most exciting events in Webkinz history was the Webkinz Road Trip, a cross-country adventure that brought the magic of Webkinz World directly to our amazing fans.
Back in 2010, we wanted to connect with Webkinz fans beyond the screen. That’s when we packed up our Webkinz van and spent the summer visiting gift stores, state fairs and special events across the United States.
From a real life Wheel of WOW to Hug-A-Pug dance-offs, the Webkinz Road Trips treated our fans and our staff to a wildly fun Webkinz experience complete with exclusive prizes and discounts on plush.
The Webkinz Road Trip continued into 2011 and 2012 and it was more than just an event—it was a celebration of the Webkinz community. While the official Road Trip has since retired, the memories and the community live on.
As we mark 20 years of Webkinz, we want to thank all the fans who joined us on this incredible journey—whether at a Road Trip event, in Webkinz Classic, or in Webkinz Next. Your enthusiasm and love for Webkinz are what keep this world so special.

This is so cool! I didn’t know this took place, but I’m in Canada…perhaps it was only in the U.S.? That would have been so much fun to take my children to!!!
my family was able to see the road trip van twice! we were on a road trip ourselves the first time and got to them just in time to snap a picture and grab some van codes. then, amazingly they also showed up at this super tiny beach town we just happened to be near; Port St. Joe, FL. I think there was a wheel of wow and a jellybean challenge. we left with lots of prizes, pets and sweet memories. Webkinz will always hold a special place our hearts. here’s to 20 more years!!
I remember reading about this and all the cool prizes you gave us during this time! I sure wish you’d do another–I’d go to that!! I’d do anything to go!!!
I wish you guys could still do stuff like this. Now that I’m an adult, i can actually do stuff like this. Y’all made a lot of my childhood happier than it was at home. Thank you for all you’ve done for people, specifically the kids of my generation <3
I remember these. They never came to our town. So, we traveled for hours. It was an all day event. The games were GREAT! They were all huge reproductions of all the games you played every day on your computer. A giant Wheel of Wow, a really big jar of jelly beans, and tons of plushes. They, also, had all the extras that Webkinz used to sell — pet carriers, pencil cases, lip gloss, mouse pads, and the CLOTHES! We loved the clothes!! They had real life outfits to dress up your plushes. We still have them on our pets. They, also, gave away codes for the van that you could enter in the code shop and you would get a Webkinz van that looked just like the real one for your pet to ride around in. Think we still have a couple. Will have to find an enter those. We wish they would do it again!! We would be there!!
The way I would celebrate if the anniversary saw a re-release of original pets.
Unfortunately, the road trip was never close enough to my location for me to attend. I begged my mom to take me to a different state a few years in a row just to see the elusive road trip in person. She (quite reasonably) never did take us lol. I always wondered what it looked like so I’m glad to see pictures of the event. :) Thank you for sharing so much webkinz history lately. It’s been exciting to see all the early webkinz designs and memories like this road trip or the trading cards.
Yes, indeed ! Those great guys came all the way down to my southern coastal city ( which I think I cannot name :( ) and it was hot as blue blazes ! The whole thing was set up in the full sun and I bet they were sweltering; but they didn’t let it show. They were pleasant and professional, though, for some reason there was, unfortunately, a very small turnout. That, and the heat and humidity, must have been a challenge. I think it was not Steve nor Michael, but some of your ganz/webkinz team from Atlanta,Georgia. I may be wrong. I attended the event with two of my daughters, who are both now in their thirties. One of the newest webkinz players, is currently asleep in another room; one of my grandsons ! He hears stories of webkinz all the time! This game; this family of online players; has truly been a part of our our family and many of y’all’s, for generations. It is really incredible to think of. Oh how I would love to see that webkinz van rolling into town once more ! Better yet, a traveling, webkinz road trip caravan; a convoy of webkinz family !
Sigh i missed it and only found out about it YEARS later though i have 3 of the vans. The Touring Van. The 2011 one and 2012 one. I found out as much info on the event after i found out about it it looked really fun thank you for showing this even though i knew most of it. I know others may not know of it so thank you and PLEASE keep making more of these kind of posts really interesting.
didnt attend a road trip event but i remember my grandma taking me to a similar event at a gift shop near us. there was a real-life wheel of wow there too! i remember one of the prizes on the wheel being a free pet and my grandma won a yorkie. kid me thought it was the coolest thing ever and i still do!
