Webkinz Newz Week runs until April 29 (ending at midnight, EST), on Webkinz Classic! During this event, you can collect Newz Team action figures from Ella McWoof at the Clubhouse, earn prizes by completing the Webkinz Newz Week Challenge and even have the opportunity to meet actual members of the Webkinz Newz Team!
From April 23 – 29, visit Ella McWoof at the Clubhouse. You’ll find her blogging away at her desk in the Webkinz Newz Room.
You can click on Ella once a day to earn a Webkinz Team action figure! There are four to collect featuring each member of the Webkinz Newz Team: Mandy, Michael, Sally and Steve Webkinz!
Prizes are awarded randomly, so play every day for the chance to collect all four!
Once you have collected your daily action figure, look for the Webkinz Newz Week Challenge icon on the left side of your screen, and click on it to review your tasks.
There are three tasks you’ll need to finish by midnight, Saturday, April 29 (EST), to complete the Newz Week Challenge:
- Visit the Webkinz Newz Room at the Clubhouse and collect an action figure from Ella McWoof!
- Head to Webkinz Newz to learn about upcoming events… Feed your pet 2 cans of Fizzy Newz Soda!
- Interview Tabby Von Meow! Try any 2 jobs at the Employment Office.
You’ll need to feed your pet two cans of Fizzy Newz Soda to complete the challenge, but you’ll only be able to find them at webkinznewz.com. From April 23 – 29, look for the daily floating can of Fizzy Newz Soda and click on it to send it back to your Webkinz Classic account. Drag a can of Fizzy Newz Soda onto your Webkinz to feed your pet.
Players who manage to complete the Newz Week Challenge by midnight, Saturday, April 29, will win a Webkinz Newz KinzCash Coin and a Webkinz Newz Building:
Do you visit Webkinz Newz regularly, follow our social media posts, watch our YouTube channel and Podkinz videos? If so, you probably know Mandy, Michael, Sally and Steve Webkinz. As a special treat for Webkinz Newz Week, they will be handing out signed versions of their action figures in the KinzChat Trading Room from Tuesday, April 25, to Friday, April 28!
Two Newz Team members will be featured in the KinzChat Trading Room every day, but they’ll only be there for one hour, so please make your visit quick, so other players have the chance to get a signed action figure.
Here’s how to get yours:
- Click on the KinzChat Trading Room when a Newz Team member is scheduled to appear in the Clubhouse
- Click on the Newz Team member to invite them to trade
- The Newz Team member will offer their signed action figure for trade. Drag any item into a trading slot and complete the trade to receive your action figure. Make sure your offer is something of little value, like a piece of food, because you won’t get it back once the trade has been completed!
Once your trade has been completed, please leave the KinzChat Trading Room immediately, so that other players have a chance to access the room and meet a Newz Team Member.

Don’t forget to log in to your Webkinz Classic account on April 29, which is Webkinz Day and the final day of Newz Week. You will receive your 2023 Webkinz Day Gift Box as soon as you log in on April 29!

I just spent the last hour jumping from trading room to trading room every couple of minutes. I did not find Michael. This is very frustrating. Did he forget to show up or was I never placed into the proper trading room! Not fun.
Well, been checking the trading rooms, and the event of finding the Newz Hosts is a mess. I lost count of how many rooms I entered, trying to find a host. Not only that but the room lagged badly enough, where I had to click on “Things To Do” then “Clubhouse” just to be able to leave and enter again, as no matter where I clicked on the Clubhouse Room, my pet would not move. It even at one point told me “Sorry the Webkinz Clubhouse is now Closed” and kicked me back to the newspaper. This really needs to be fixed. An event like this should have EITHER TAKEN PLACE IN – the SPECIFICALLY MADE WEBKINZ NEWZ ROOM, or BE AVAILABLE IN ALL Kinzville Park rooms (1-50, like that of Cinnamon, Mr. Moo, and the Lepracaun), where it can be available to all or DONE AN EVENT where we had to do a code hunt (once per a day) for a specific host (Tuesday Code will be for Mandy, Wednesday for Michael, and so forth) around the Webkinz Newz site to enter into the Code Ship and be awarded a signed action figure instead. But instead, most people are wasting time entering and leaving a room looking for the host but are unable to locate the host. This event seriously needs to be fixed.
Well, that was a waste of two hours that I’ll never get back. Epic fail.
There must be a better way to do this. Today was a waste of time looking for Mandy and Michael. They were not there.

How did you find michael webkinz?(step by step to help me and others) I never found him.
My biggest advice for anyone trying to get the figures across he next few days is 1. Once you get it, leave immediately to give everyone the best chance (Michael actually gave me 2 figures which was awesome!) 2. When you enter the KinzChat Trading Room make sure you check the list of names when you enter to see if you see the Webkinz Newz person of the hour, if they aren’t there leave immediately and try again because they do not change rooms (at least from my knowledge). 3. Stay persistent because, as you can see, I didn’t get mind until the last half of the hour. Good luck everyone! It took a while but if you keep with it and keep changing rooms, you should be able to get it!
Still waiting for Michael in the Trading Room. It’s 4:15pm Webkinz Time and no Michael :( :(
Are the times in Webkinz time?
Happening again with Michael. Nowhere to be found. PLEASE find a better way to do this. Lots of people are very upset.
don’t see my orig. post – said I was posting too fast and only one I wrote, so here it is again. Never did find Mandy and it would be super if you could put the hosts in the newzroom we go to that has the unsigned action figure in. they could go on hour they are to be in trading room and would be so much easier. No fun and a mess in trading room from what other people posted in not finding Mandy. Please consider moving to newzroom room so we could click on them to get the signed one. Thanks.
I never found Mandy either and have looked for Michael for 10 min. and now when change trading rooms, says connecting. Logged off and got back in a couple times and connecting again. No fun at all. Would be great if could just put host in newzroom – and not just a timed event. We can’t ALL get in at times posted – very sad can’t include everyone. Putting host in newzroom or even in the park and have it be available to all. No fun at all when can’t find in trading room or can’t get in because of work or whatever – for times they are there. Please fix so we can all have a chance to get them. Thanks.
I will also add that I spent nearly an hour trying to find Mandy. I’d sit in a room for 5 minutes before changing trading rooms. I checked the list of players’ names – no Mandy. No one in any of the rooms had the trading icon above their pet – everyone was waiting for Mandy. This is disappointing – there are better ways to award these signed action figures. The character could be in Kinzville Park like Cinnamon or the Mayor – just click to get the prize. The Newzweek Challenge should have been more involved – it took me only 5 minutes to finish the challenge. There could have been different challenge stages to award the signed action figures with the Newz building as the grand prize. Remember a similar clubhouse event with the signed Newz posters? That was also a disaster. Lastly, this event excludes players who work, go to school, or live outside North American time zones. Free players are also excluded. This is how you alienate players – this event should be and could have been more inclusive.
