Once you’ve sent your baby or kid to Daycare, they will leave your home for 24 hours and return with one additional bar filled in on their growth meter.

I don’t have any baby pets yet, since sparks are so limited in number and I have no idea whether baby pet = renewed membership. I have five precious gems though: Citrine the Orange Tabby, Azurite the Moon Bear, Opal the Unicorn, Agate the Gray Tabby, and Onyx the “Vampire” Cat (though I believe she may actually be a small and adorable dragon). I’m eight diamonds away from a Pixie Tiger, and then (however many diamonds it is, is it 60 or 100? I forget.) away from a sparked kitten…
Sparking does make your membership full, but right now the only difference between free and full is the number of free plays at the Arcade. Sparking is 80 Diamonds

yes I send my babies & kids to daycare. wish we could them in daycare to see what they are doing. Maybe a report card
I wish when a kid pet grows to an adult, there is some way to distinguish that the PSI box has not been opend. I got a notification that my kid was ready to grow into an adult. I was busy and just said OK, but then I could not figure out which pet grew into an adult. I have about 250 pets and bet I have unopened PSI boxes. It is a real hassle to have to wait for a pet request to get that box. Often it takes a while to get that pet request and to go back through all my pets would be impossible. Thanks.
Yes. I send both kids and babies to day care. When I had a lot of babies, I sent one of each per day. Now I only have two and want to keep them as babies for a while. So I am sending kids.
