Webkinz Room Design Awards – Meet The Finalists!

I am pleased to present the finalists for the Webkinz Room Design Awards! There are 27 players in the group and they have each been featured in one of my room design posts since the last Room Design Awards were held in November. It’s a large group, but 10 of the finalists will win a Webkinz Room Design Trophy.

Here’s how the winners will be chosen:

  • 5 winners will be decided by a vote right here on Webkinz Newz. On Wednesday, February 27th, players can vote for their favorite design and the 5 designers who receive the most votes will be awarded a Room Design Trophy.

  • 4 winners will be chosen by the Webkinz Newz Team. Sally, Mandy, Steve and I will each choose our favorite room design and the designers will be awarded a Room Design Trophy

  • The 10th winner will be chosen by the Webkinz staff, here at Webkinz headquarters

Now it’s time to meet the finalists… Please take time to look over each of their designs. You’ll only be able to vote for one on February 27th:

Congratulations finalists! I hope that each of you are excited to be part of the Room Design Awards. You are all excellent room designers and should be very proud to be featured in the finals.

Remember, voting begins on Wednesday, February 27th, right here on Webkinz Newz. You only have until Thursday, February 28th (midnight EST), to vote for your favorite design and I will be posting the results on Friday, March 1st.

You can only vote once, but every vote counts, so make sure you tell your friends and family to visit Webkinz Newz on February, 27th, to be part of Webkinz history and participate in the Webkinz Room Design Awards!

How in the world are we going to choose between all of these awesome rooms? I finally narrowed it down to 6 rooms: Grandma’s Thanksgiving, Webkinz National Library, Time to Unwind, Laundry Room, Enchanted Grand Parlour, and Demolition Derby. This will be the toughest vote yet. My favorite thing to do in Webkinz Newz is looking at the creativity of everyone’s room designs.

WOW!!! I am beyond shocked that my Cupcake Shoppe is a finalist!!! I am so very grateful to the wonderful friends who sent me some of the items I needed to make my vision for this room a reality and who encouraged me to send in my design in the first place!! You guys know who you are! <3 I'm also so very honored to be featured alongside so many wonderfully talented designers, including my good friend LadyBeauty!! Congratulations to you!! I've always admired your room designs, and am so happy for you! – luna101217

I totally agree with Beckinz8 in that there should be different categories. Small rooms are very hard to decorate and I have many from the early days in webkinz. I would love to see a bathroom category, someone wrote about that earlier & you discussed it in a podcast. Please consider categories, I honestly am finding it hard to vote for only one when so many deserve a vote.

I love all of them, though.. How am I supposed to pick only a few? D:

  8. Beckinz8 says:

One?!? We can only pick one?!? How about three? (even that would be difficult!) Everyone just seems to keep improving in their room design skills. We are going to have some professional room designers! I still think that there should be different categories, and prizes in each category like the Oscars. Best small room design…best outdoor room design…etc. You get the idea. I would be so happy to get to vote for a favorite in each separate category. There are too many that I love, for completely different reasons. Small rooms are so challenging, that I think one of them should win. There are also some great, whimsical, outside-the-box designs that should also win. There are wonderful rooms that were designed with no estore items – that should be a separate category. I say this every time, and each time I mean it a little more than the last – how will we ever choose?!? Best wishes to all of the finalists!!
