Panda is the second most adopted pet? Thats awesome! I thought it would be the golden retriever or some pet like that.
Ya, I kept on thinking the golden retriever was gonna be in 1st place, because I’ve seen SOOOO many people go around with they’re golden retrievers! Guess we were wrong. Congrats on having your favorite pet in 2nd! Mine was in 4th, but hey, at least its not in last! :)

You would think so but I guess not. My favorite is the one in 1st place =] I like the reindeer the best out of all of them.
Go Golden Retrievers! I have the koala cause’ it was my first pet. I got her my &th-8th Birthday. Not sure which one though.

I bet I know why the reindeer is so popular. At least around here it was selling for 1 dollar. And it was the first holiday pet, so everyone probably wanted it. My first webkinz was the reindeer for Christmas several years ago. Still love him best.
I got a reindeer at a store called dirt cheap. the pet had a tag!

My family has all of those Webkinz except the pink poodle! This is a really cool list! Maybe Ganz should do a top ten list of most played arcade games! Or jobs! That would be cool.

Neither did I! Actually, I thought it had retired, but then I found out that it’s not (I don’t think) when I adopted one last summer.
Actually kinzklipfan, the Cheeky Monkey shown here IS retired! But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t work on Webkinz. And it doesn’t mean no one sells it anymore. It just means ganz is not MAKING anymore. :) So, stores that have the monkeys will not stop selling them until they run out, and when they run out, ganz will not give them any more because they stopped making any more and don’t have any. But it is still possible to buy the webkinz from stores that have not run out, and webkinz will still let you adopt them. :) Hope I helped somewhat to clear up any confusion regarding retirements…
Kinzlipfan, the Cheeky Monkey is retired. You can still adopt it though because I adopted it even though it is retired about 2 years ago. Hope this helped

I have 6 of them. I have 1 pug, 3 pink poodles, 2 white terriers, 2 golden retrievers, 1 panda, and 2 reindeer. Plus about 45 other Webkinz!

WOW! I only have two of these pet and I have like fourteen! i have the golden retriever and the polar bear! but the golden retriever doesn’t REALLY count because I don’t have the plush…. I bought a pet and it came with Webkinz trading cards and on one of the cards it said: YOU HAVE WON A WEBKINZ GOLDEN RETRIEVER! or something like that…..

Hey, did anyone notice those are ALL Realistic pets?! Most of the new pets they are making now, Just aren’t looking like, Webkinz, to me. Plus they are retiring all the Realistic/Cute pets to bring in one’s that are not nearly as good.
I only own 2 from this list the Koala and Golden Retriever. I would have never expected the most sold Webkinz would be the Reindeer.
The reindeer was Pet of the Month several years ago. Right when it was announced it was going to be POTM, about halfway through the previous month, they got a boatload of them at Five Below (and probably other stores too). I bought and adopted six. I have four koalas because they were also at Five Below and they are Adventure Park pets. So some of these are where they are because of good marketing on Ganz’s part.

One reason the reindeer might be number 1 is because of Christmas. and around Christmas people probably want a webkinz……. maybe a reindeer even! :D

So do I. That is how I got the reindeer. I also have two pugs one is a lil’kinz the other is a regular, and I have two Chihuahuas. Once again, one is a lil’kinz, one is a regular. As I was saying before, yes that is how I got a reindeer. It was a Christmas present.
I have either a Lil’Kinz or Big Kinz of all of these except for the Panda! I have Big (normal-sized) Webkinz for all of the others except for the Pink Poodle, Chihuahua, and Polar Bear, which I have Lil’Kinz of. I love this type of list! Btw, ccanimals, I agree, Webkinz has been retiring good pets that people still like and the new ones aren’t always as good.

I agree. They should create more realistic animals. Maybe they could even make insects or sea creatures.

Yes though, I don’t think that’s the reason they’re listed so high. I don’t think any of these was released in a year other then 06-07 so they had lots of time. I believe I have all of these but i’m quite surprised that the reindeer was number one. I though it might be one of these three: Golden Retriever/Original Cocker Spaniel/Original Frog.
Okay, a correction to my comment. There was a pet with a different year but it goes exactly to my point lol: Golden Retriever 2005.
ccanimals I am pretty sure this is because the newer, less realistic animals are more expensive. A lot of the animals in the top ten are super cheap, especially the Reindeer. If all webkinz cost the same amount, I am sure the numbers would change :)
Yes, that’s so true!! I wish they would stop retiring such awesome animals, like the ferret, ginger cat, Samoyed, misty puppy and all the Labradors. I absolutely LOVE Labs… :’( Ganz, PLEASE BRING THEM BACK!! =D
i agree they should make them more realistic i recommend some pets that they should make such as a Signature Boston terrier cause i have on tee hee hee:):)

Yeah, the new “webkinz” don’t look like webkinz at all. I wish they would make a list of the top ten most adopted lil’ kinzz.
I totally agree. That is why I started Webkinz because I am such an animal lover and the pets were so realistic. Now they are just stuffed animals which I have no interest in purchasing. I wish they would come back with some more like real animals or do a survey as to which you prefer. I would be interested in knowing the results but until then I’ll just enjoy my oldies.
I own like ninety webkinz but i only own four of those!I own Coconut the cheeky monkey,Quigley the koala, Percy the pug, and Sarasnowga the polar bear! I named Sarasnowga that because i got her in saratoga new york. I do not own the pink poodle,chihuahua,white terrier, golden retriever,panda,or reindeer. My sister owns the Golden Retriever named Skylar.
Coconut was my third webkinz! My first was checkers….leopard and second was Kermit the frog! lol

I feel like ever since I posted what I wanted to name my koala everyone started naming their koalas Einstein! xD I already met like five in the clubhouse, plus one who got the highest score, now another! xD But it’s ok, Einstein was not the exact name I wanted to use. :)

Wow, a Gobbler Turkey? I’ve never seen those in store!!! But I have seen the Love Frog. It was at Fresh Market (weirdly!! Why would they sell webkinz there? It was the only time I ever saw one there) it was like, last year I think, near Valentines Day. :)
