Starting TODAY –Thursday, April 10th– the Webkinz Time Capsules are returning as we celebrate our 20th anniversary!
When Webkinz World celebrated our 10th anniversary, we introduced a series of time capsules which celebrated our history with a unique series of prizes found inside! Each day leading up to Webkinz Day, we gave out a time capsule representing a specific year from Webkinz’s history.
For Webkinz’s 15th anniversary, we released 5 more time capsules with another unique set of prizes. Now for our 20th anniversary, not only will we be releasing more time capsules with a unique set of prizes, we’ll also be re-releasing all the previous time capsules as well!
To get your time capsules, just log in to your Webkinz Classic account on any platform (desktop app or mobile) each day to get one. Here’s a look at the schedule of time capsule releases, along with the prizes you’ll find inside!
Inside the new time capsules for Years 15 – 19, you’ll find a series of artifacts from some of our Curio Shop rare themes along with a display case to place them in, so you can create a Museum room that would make Mayor Arte himself proud!

I’M SOOOO BUMMED!!! I logged onto my account and received my mystery capsule only to see I now have 2 of them. Most likely, that means that I cannot get what was in the original capsules. I can now only get the stuff above that I am really not a fan of. The only things I like from above are the pet buddy, the toy box, and the mummy mask. Everything else is not of interest to me. BUMMED and MORE BUMMED!!! :( :( :( :( :(
These are the same capsules as was originally given out. The contents haven’t been changed.

Hi @eagleship! You are so in luck, because you will now have double of everything since, as far as I can tell and remember, the contents of the capsules have remained the same. Only the most recent five years’ worth of capsules are new. Consider yourself really blessed to have been a part of this community for so long that you have saved up all of the capsules from the previous milestone anniversaries! Also, for the things that you like, just mark your calendar and only login on those days, or login everyday, and sell or, better yet, gift all of the items that you don’t like. The dragon pet buddy IS really cute! He’s been following my Decade Dragon around for 5 years!
So, since you named the capsules the exact same thing as the ones I have collected through the years, does that mean that my saved ones are going to give me these new set of prizes, instead of the old set that I, originally, collected and saved all these years to be opened on a special anniversary of my account???? Couldn’t they just have added something in the name of the new ones so that I could have gotten my original set of prizes when I wanted to? They could have added the year 2025 or just called them “Webkinz Day 20 Time Capsule.” Any change to the name would have let me collect the original items in the time capsule!! I am SOOOO UPSET about this!!!!
The new set of prizes are Year 15 onwards. All of the previous years are unchanged.
The new ones come out the 24th, with new yearly numbers (just go back and look at the pictures)

I just collected my time capsule and got year 1 items. A tree and puzzle piece. This can’t be right? Help.
Yes, that’s correct. The schedule for receiving the capsules are posted above. Day 1 is Year 1, etc.
