We recently asked the Webkinz Newz community to vote for the next room theme they would like added to the W-Shop… and the results are in! The Hotel room theme earned the most votes and will be released in the W-Shop on July 21st!
Do you have any ideas for items you would like to see included in this new theme? Please leave your suggestions below!
Make sure you check Webkinz Newz often from now until this theme is being released on July 21st. We will be showing off concept drawings of each item and sneak peeking the final designs. We’ll also be looking for name suggestions for each item, which you can leave in the comments section below each post.

My ideas are: steely grayish brown wall paint, a dark wood reception desk, a couple little decorations (like you’ll see in hotel lobbies) such as plants, vases or bowls filled with random stuff, and dark wood flooring for the lobby (we really need more dark wood floors bc the creative studio floors have paint splotches on them). I like someone else’s idea of having more than one wallpaper and floor- what if you had one for the lobby and one for the room? Since lobbies are generally nice and updated where rooms are usually carpeted and maybe not-so-fancy haha. Also beds and side tables obviously, more chairs, and some cool abstract wall art.
Oh and rugs definitely rugs. Maybe long solid ones that fit the color scheme?
I have some ideas for the theme that could be in the W-shop for kinzcash, Curio Shop as rares or Arte’s favorites, & at PJ Collie’s Kinzstyle Outlet. More than one wallpaper & flooring, different rugs, an elevator, breakfast food decor, breakfast food dispensers, lobby outfits, & pajamas. ;) Pittiesrule
OOOOOoooo…an elevator…what a fantastic idea!! I am so happy that this theme won! It would be great if the designers could make a fancy lobby check-in desk, and a breakfast food dispenser is another great idea. (I like your suggestions LovesStaffordshires!) I don’t know if it is possible, but I would love a wallpaper or at least a door where you can see guest cars/limos drive up to the front door (like the cafe drive through window). Big fancy potted plants, and a brochure rack would really help to complete the look! Have fun designers! I can hardly wait for July 21st!

Yippee!!! I am so glad that the Hotel Room Theme won. Some of the items that I would like to see included in the new theme would be couch to match the chair, end tables, lamps, hanging plants or plants to put on the floor or table, wall pictures. A few ideas for now when I think of more I will post. I can’t wait for the arrival of the new items in the W-Shop July 21st. :-)
An elevator wardrobe or something elevator themed would be so cool!!!
This is going to be a cool theme! Some items I’d like to see in it would be a complimentary cookie (or any other kind of snake) table and totally some pictures (nature ones would match I think) that you could ‘hang’ on the wall! It’d also be cool if this theme included some attraction brochures that you could place on the check in desk or anywhere as an item!
can we see a bellman cart that our pets can ride in. That would be cool
I would like to see a luggage cart,a couch that has the same pattern as the chair shown above,a tourist pamphlet stand,and an elevator door
Those are awesome ideas! Our pets should get to ride in the luggage carts haha. And an elevator door would be sweet.
I hope that they have a breakfast bar to put in the hotel, and maybe a magazine rack. They should also have an elevator either on the wallpaper or as a decoration to put on the wall. Maybe a big rug to separate the check-in center and the dining area and maybe a glass fountain with the water running down in the glass (I don’t know what they are called.). I have so many ideas!
Hooray! Finally we will get to see the kind of hotel you will design for us. Can’t wait to see the lobby check in desk and other features I know you will show us!

I was hoping that the fun to be young, room would win, but this one is still fine and dandy. Welp, can’t wait to see it in the w-shop!
huuu-hmmmm….. any ideas for items? Sure! How about a giant, solid glass see-through elevator that will creep pets out when they see how high they are going? No, wait! A whole breakfast bar area…. with cereal and toast and potatoes. Oh, also, how about a giant silver roller coaster that shoots you to you room? Just a thought, as stairs are relentlessly boring. XP
