Thanksgiving with Ella
Ella McWoof here, wanting to know how Thanksgiving celebrations are going in Kinzville! Let’s see who we run into as we walk around town! Ah, Ms. Birdy! How is your Thanksgiving going? Ms. B: Wonderfully, thank you! I’m having a big feast at my house with all of my family and friends. Dr. Quack and I are doing the cooking, so I’ve got to get home with this birdseed loaf! Oh, look! It’s Cowabelle. Cowabelle, what are you doing on this Thanksgiving Day? Cowabelle: I’m on my way to the soup kitchen to serve lunch. I’m super-excited to help out. After that, I’m heading home to have dinner with my mom…and then my friends are dropping by for dessert! Sounds wonderful! Ah, there’s Stoogles. He looks…a little…stuffed? Stoogles: *Burp* I just finished lunch at Nibbles’ house, and boy does that family know how to eat! Did you know they have seven different types of pie? Blueberry, apple, cherry, pumpkin, lemon meringue, peach and pecan! I tried a piece of each…*burp*. I’m on my way to the Curio Shop for my next dinner. Sparky said Arte got some food from Le Snout, so it ought to be delicious. *Burp*. Wow. Pace yourself … Read more
Cowabelle is Thankful
Hey everyone!Did you know that Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays? It’s true! I love helping out in the soup kitchen and serving food to Webkinz who need it. I also love hanging out with my mom and friends – and this year, Dacey and her mom and Salley and her mom AND Stoogles are going to be joining us for dessert! How exciting is that? I have a TON to be thankful for, so I can hardly wait for tomorrow. What are you most thankful for?
Roberta’s Heart-to-Heart
Hey everyone, So remember how I was feeling pretty miserable the other day because my nana and papa were spending all their time with Reid? Well, my grandmother realized there was something wrong…and she took me out for a hot chocolate and a donut. We talked about how hard it is to have a little brother around, and how sometimes he seems to get ALL the attention. She told me that she often felt a little jealous of her younger sister (my great-aunt). I was surprised to hear that, but nana said it’s just something that older siblings feel sometimes. She said it doesn’t mean I don’t love Reid, but just that occasionally I kind of wish I could get the sort of attention he does. She also said that she and papa were going to take me out to see a play, and have a special dinner at a restaurant, just the three of us. And when we got back to her house? Somehow it bothered me a lot less when everyone said how adorable it was when Reid spat carrot baby food across the kitchen. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
Dacey’s Mansion Makeover: Kitchen
Elwin here with another fantastic room makeover at Dacey’s place! First, let’s take a good look at the kitchen before Hailey and I did our redesign. Dacey’s Kitchen (before) It’s definitely…charming? I guess charming is the word. The wallpaper doesn’t match the appliances or the table or anything, but there’s a certain whimsy about it, wouldn’t you say? Unfortunately, it was definitely not what the Bryns wanted. So Hailey and I decided to go with a blue and silver palette, with punches of turquoise for fun. This is the gorgeous high-end, eat-in kitchen we came up with. Dacey’s Kitchen (after) I love the window; it casts such a nice mellow light into the room. The dishwasher is functional and stylish, and the island is perfect for food prep. I really feel like this kitchen combines form and function; it’s gorgeous AND you can definitely use it to make delicious dishes!
Alex and April Make Up
Hey everyone, Great news! April and I made up. That is, we’re friends again. Maybe not best friends like before, but good friends. And I couldn’t be happier. It all started when I was on my way to see Sparky at the Curio Shop. I was walking past the park when I heard someone crying. Normally I would be too shy to go and find out who it was, but this time…something made me investigate. When I walked into the park, I saw April sitting at the picnic table, sobbing. I asked her what was wrong and she seemed shocked to see me. She tried to brush away her tears and say “nothing”, but I told her she couldn’t fool me. She hesitated for a minute, but then finally blurted out, “I miss Kinzville SO much! And I miss YOU, Alex!” I was REALLY surprised to hear that. I sat down and we talked for about two hours. It turns out that things haven’t been so great at her new school. Even though her emails to me made things sound awesome, they’re really not. And when she was texting her ‘best friend’? Yeah. She wasn’t texting anyone at all. … Read more
Molly’s Family Fun
Dear Diary, You’ll never believe how INSANE things are at my house today! My entire family has come for Thanksgiving (like they do every year) but this year? They seem even louder and crazier than usual! My twin cousins, Robby and Bobby, arrived and immediately started tormenting Millie. For some reason, they’re more interested in bugging her than me this year (hooray for me, boo for Millie). Millie ran and told my mom and Robby and Bobby got in trouble. That’s been happening all day long. I think Robby and Bobby have been grounded for about one hundred years in total. My little cousin Holly is so cute – she’s able to walk and even said “Molly” when I gave her a cookie. Isn’t that the cutest thing? Most of the family is watching football on TV right now, and my mom and grandma are in the kitchen cooking dinner. I think I’ll join them – I just heard Bobby and Robby say something about sprinkling the chips with hot sauce. Happy (early) Thanksgiving! Love, Molly
