The final seven are: Ms. Birdy PJ Collie Dr. Quack Wiggles Pig Elwin Elephant Cowabelle Cowoline Amanda Panda Trust me, judging this competition is NOT an easy job! So now we’re going into the final rounds, and I don’t know who’s going to win! Of course, part of me hopes it’s Cowabelle (because she’s a good friend of mine), but I know I have to be impartial and just vote for who does the best. Oh, this is one exciting competition!

Ella McWoof’s Wedding Recap

Whew! I just arrived home and I’m exhausted! Weddings sure are a lot of fun – but they’re tiring! The band played for about two hours, and then the deejay started spinning some tunes. Everyone got up to dance when ‘Tiger, Tiger’ came on! Plumpy and Charles each made wonderful speeches (Plumpy even thanked me for reporting on the wedding!), and we enjoyed some delicious cake. The dessert buffet was absolutely over-the-top and we all got to take home little containers of cookies, brownies, and mini-pies! I have enough treats to last me until next year! At the end of the night, Plumpy and Charles rode off in a white limousine. It was SO romantic! They’re leaving for their honeymoon in a couple of days, and apparently they’re going on a world-wide tour of Webkinz World! How amazing would that be? Well, I’m exhausted and my feet are SO sore (I danced a lot), so goodnight all! I hope you enjoyed the wedding!

Plumpy’s Big Day

Can you believe it? My wedding is FINALLY here! It’s so exciting! All my relatives and friends are here, and I’m just hoping I haven’t forgotten anything. There’s so much to do when you plan a wedding…food, dancing, decorating…and don’t get me wrong, I’m sure Fluffington did a great job making his yard beautiful, and Chef Gazpacho and Chef Sophia made wonderful food…and I’m sure the music will be super. But…I just hope everyone has a good time, you know? I can’t wait to get into my dress and walk down that aisle. I haven’t seen Charles today (it’s supposedly bad luck to see your groom before the wedding), but I’m sure he’s just as nervous as I am. Only a few more hours now…and then…it’s my big day!

Father’s Day gift ideas with Roberta

Hey everyone! Father’s Day is tomorrow, and I don’t know about you guys, but I’m pretty excited. My dad is amazing. He and I love to hang out (when he’s not traveling on business). I’m even named after him! (He’s Robert, I’m Roberta). So I wanted to come up with a few extra-special things to make my dad. Here’s what I’m going to give him tomorrow:   Picture Frame This was pretty easy to make. I just got some wooden sticks, craft glue, paint, and a picture of me (the other side is empty for when my new brother or sister arrives – their picture can go in there). First, I glued four sticks together to make one square frame. Then I did the same for the other frame. I painted the frames. I used construction paper on the back to attach the two frames together (I just glued the construction paper rectangle to each square). Then, when everything was dry, I put in the picture of me. Aren’t I cute?     Dad Coupons I made my dad a few coupons to use – but I decided to cut them into fun shapes, instead of just making a book. I … Read more

The advice hippo needs some advice from you!

PJ Collie Sings!

Hey everyone! PJ Collie here with some great news. I auditioned today for “Kinzville Sings!” and it went GREAT! I was a little nervous going up there, because last time I sang in front of an audience, it was at my family reunion and I was ten. I ALWAYS sing in front of my mirror and in the shower, though. So I have lots of practice! Anyway, I decided to just go for it. Why not? I’ve secretly always wanted to be a famous pop star! As soon as I started singing, I knew the judges liked me. They were smiling and kind of bopping along to my song. When I finished, they all applauded for what felt like a long time. They said I was fantastic, and that they’d be foolish not to let me continue in the competition. So I’m in! I don’t know if this is going to be a life-changing experience or just something fun to do – but whatever it is, I’m really excited!

Diva Dressing Room

Hailey here with a pretty exciting dressing room makeover. Elwin and I had the challenge of taking a completely empty dressing room at the Henrietta Hippo Theater and transforming it into a room fit for a diva. In fact, it’s meant for none other than Dacey Bryn herself! Since she’s in town helping to judge “Kinzville Sings!” she needed a place to call her own. So – check it out! We designed one half to be a seating area, so if friends are visiting they’ve got a place to chill out. We also added screens so Dacey could get changed. The makeup table and lights are just perfect for a diva, and the stand of purses is Dacey’s own. When she saw the room, she said it was wonderful – hooray!

Roberta’s Yummy Ice Pops

Hey everyone! Roberta here with a bit of a funny story to share. So Molly dropped Millie off yesterday because she had to head to the library with Polly, and I (foolishly?) agreed to babysit while she was gone. Everything started off great! I told Millie that we were going to make our very own ice pops. She was super-excited! I told her that we were going to put some berries, yogurt and sugar into the blender and mix it up. She added the ingredients, but I realized that we didn’t have quite enough sugar. I told her to wait a sec while I got it from the pantry. Unfortunately, Millie didn’t quite understand. And that’s why she pressed the ‘blend’ button while I was out of the room. And while the lid was noticeably missing from the blender. And that’s why part of the kitchen wall is now a very nice violet-pink color. Anyway, I cleaned up as best I could and we tried the recipe again (with me standing right next to Millie the WHOLE time) and thankfully the pops turned out fantastically. My mom wasn’t too thrilled about the new wall color, but I figure … Read more

Paperbag Windsock

Roberta here with another fun summertime craft!   What you need: Paper bag, colored paper, craft glue, clear tape, streamers in different colors, scissors, string   What you do: Cut the bottom off your paper bag. Decorate your paper bag with colored paper. Tape streamers inside the opening at one end of your paper bag. Poke holes (carefully) on either side of the other end of your paper bag and tie string across (so you can hang up your windsock). Take your bag outside and hang it in a tree for a summertime decoration!

Fluffington’s Garden

Fluffington here with some exciting news – in a mere 9 days, Plumpy will be getting married to Sir Charles Rhineholt in my very backyard! Can you believe it? I’m so excited. I’ve never had a wedding of my own, of course, but helping to plan this one is almost as good! First, I had the gardeners come in cut the grass. Then, I had them plant about a million flowers. Finally, I had my handyman lay down a path – and put in that gorgeous heart-shaped topiary! Oh, it’s just so beautiful! We’re going to enjoy eating indoors, and then come back outside for dancing and the bouquet toss. Plumpy hasn’t seen the garden yet, but let me know what you think!

Dr. Quack Sings!

Have you ever been so nervous that you’ve had butterflies in your stomach? Well, that happened to me today. It was finally my turn to audition for Kinzville Sings! And boy, was I ever panicky. I know I’m a pretty good singer – ever since I was a duckling, everyone has said, “Quincy, you sing better than 90% of the ducks out there!” But what about the other 10%? They’re the ones I always worry about. Anyway. Back to my audition. I took to the stage and looked out at the judges nervously. I introduced myself (I think they all knew who I was), and I told them I was going to sing a rock song. Several of them giggled. The others looked like they were trying really hard not to. OK, so maybe I don’t LOOK like a rock star (although I WAS wearing ripped jeans and a t-shirt), but I kind of sound like one. Anyway, I sang the song as well as I could. I even threw in a few dance moves! And guess what? Suddenly, the judges didn’t look like they were going to laugh anymore. No! In fact, they looked really, really…impressed! I wasn’t … Read more

Summer Craft: Ice Cream Necklace

Roberta Rabbit here with an awesome summer craft! I’m going to show you how to make an ice cream cone necklace – it’s cute and fun! What you need: Brown cardstock paper, craft glue, gold sparkles, round beads in pastel colors, small round red bead (optional), flat head pins, needle-nose pliers, string, extra beads (optional)   What you do: Cut out a 1.5 inch circle from the brown cardstock. Make a slice halfway to the middle point, like this: 2. Starting at the cut, wrap the circle around to make a cone. Glue it as you do this. 3. Trim the top of the cone. Make a swirl of glue around the cone and dip the cone in gold sparkles, if you like. 4. Stick your flat-head pin through the base of the cone (the flat part should be at     the tip of the cone). Stick one or two beads on top of it. 5.Use the needle-nose pliers to make a loop at the top of the flat-head pin (you can get a grown up to help with this). 6.Put the ice cream cone on a piece of string and add extra beads, if you like. 7.Tie the two … Read more

Something Old, Something New…

Hey Everyone! Nibbles here. Can you believe Plumpy’s wedding is coming up in only 15 days? I can’t wait to be a bridesmaid! Anyway, I was talking to Plumpy today and she realized: she needs something old and something new, something borrowed and something blue. It’s a tradition in our family! So we went through the list. First, the old: she’s going to wear my grandma’s dress, so that definitely counts. Next, something new: she has brand new earrings – whew! Something borrowed: I told Plumpy she could borrow my lucky rock. She said she’d tuck it under the sash on the dress. Finally, something blue: This one took us a minute, but then Plumpy realized: she’s the blue! So it looks like everything is all ready! I can’t wait for the big day!

Plumpy’s Wedding: Cake Design

Hey everyone! Can you believe my wedding is only 16 days away! It’s true! And since my dear friend Chef Sophia is in charge of the cake, it was high time for Charles and I to visit her and see about flavors and designs! Fortunately for us, Chef Sophia had brought along a ton of samples. We tried a little bit of everything, but out absolute favorite was chocolate cake with Stubbly Grass Nibble ganache and a delicate maple buttercream. It sounds a bit wacky, but the flavors work together perfectly! After picking the flavor, we had to choose a design. I don’t know about you, but I’ve never really thought about what a cake LOOKS like before. I’m all about the taste!  But Sophia sketched out a bunch of pictures and said I could take them home and think about them. So I’ve narrowed my options down to these four. I’d love your opinion! Let me know which one you like the best!

Salley’s BIG Plan

Hey everyone! Salley Cat here with some awesome news – my plans for the end-of-the-year trip are actually coming together really well! So well, in fact, that even Purr-Cilla said they sounded like fun. Crazy, right? But it’s true. Here’s what I’m thinking we’ll do: On June 23, we’ll take a bus into the Big City. We’ll spend the day going to a museum, strolling through the park, and then seeing a theater show at night. There are so many musicals there – I don’t know which one we’ll end up at, but I know it’ll be good! We’ll spend the night in a very fancy hotel. How can we afford that? Easy! My mom found out that Fluffington owns a hotel in the city, and when she told him about our trip, he said he’d be happy to give us a discounted rate! So we’ll be staying in five-star luxury for a one-star price! The next morning, we’re going to go to Chef Sophia’s sister’s restaurant for breakfast. After that, we’ll get back on the bus and head home. What do you think? Best end-of-the-year trip ever, or what?

Alex Tiger: Cheering from a Distance

Hey everyone, Alex here. Know how the entire town is practicing for the big show? Well, I guess I understand why – I mean, they all want to be famous, right? The thing is – I don’t. I don’t want to perform ANYTHING in front of ANYONE. And it’s almost like no one understands that. I tried explaining it to Sparky, but he just said, “C’mon, Alex! Don’t you want everyone to know who you are?” No! That sounds terrible! I don’t want that at all! You know, unless it’s because I discover something amazing or come up with a new theory or formula. Then, sure! But how many scientists have to perform in front of a live studio audience? I think I’ll stick to what I’m good at: rocks, science, and cheering my friends on from a safe distance.
