Three Camp Games
Roberta here with some fun camp games to play. We did all three of these this morning at craft camp (it was a special outdoor fun day today). I hope you like them as much as I did! Game 1: Wacky Words This was a warm up game and it was a lot of fun! The counselor called out a word that was three or more letters long and each team (there were five teams of four kids each) wrote it on the left side of a piece of paper. They then wrote the same word backwards on the right side. Then we tried to make words by filling letters in the middle. This is how one of ours turned out: It’s not as easy as it first looks! Also, we had a time limit of only two minutes! Game 2: Veggie Soup In this game, everyone was named one of four vegetables: carrot, potato, cucumber or bean. Everyone was seated on a chair in a circle to begin the game, and then one kid got up and called the name of a vegetable (like “carrots!”). All the carrots had to get up from their seat, run into the … Read more
Sparky’s Summer
You guys will NEVER guess what I started today…swimming lessons! They are SO much fun, I can hardly believe it. Uncle Arte said that since I’ve been such a good sport about helping out at the Curio Shop (OK, OK, I’ve complained a FEW times, but whatever), he wanted to give me an extra special treat. He signed me up for swimming lessons. Initially, I was all, “Um, Uncle Arte? I know how to swim. Sort of.” But really? I didn’t know any of the strokes…and I definitely couldn’t swim for very long. The lessons I’m taking are for kids who have some experience and know the basics, but could stand to learn a bit more. And guess what? It’s SO much fun. We had races in the pool, we practiced holding our breath underwater, and we even learned the backstroke! I can’t wait for next week – by the end of the summer, I’m going to be a swimming expert!
A Sweet Collection
Collecting marshmallows is all the rage this summer in Kinzville! Aside from a grand prize when you collect all 30, you’ll also get smaller prizes along the way. After you get five Marshmallows, you’ll get a Marshmallow Pit. At ten Marshmallows, you’ll get a camping out fit. And at twenty Marshmallows, you’ll get Marshmallow Seeds! Time to start your collection!
Salley’s Summer
Dear Stoogles, I’m writing to you from the train. As you know, I’m on my way to see my dad. I’m pretty excited – he said we’ll do lots of fun stuff while I’m visiting. My mom said she’d miss me a ton, but she told me to have a great time and to send her lots of emails. I hope your summer is going well – I know you have big plans this year, and I can’t wait to hear about how things are going! Have fun! Your BFF, Salley
Cowabelle’s Awesome Summer
Dear Roberta, Wow, what a summer! It’s only the sixth of July and already I feel like I’ve been on vacation for, like, EVER! My days have been insanely busy. I know I was pretty disappointed for not winning Kinzville Sings, but I realized something: if I had won, I wouldn’t have been able to visit Dacey this summer. And honestly? We are having THE BEST TIME! I actually got a small part in the movie – I have TWELVE lines! I’ve memorized them all already (of course) and I know I’ll do a great job. How are things back in Kinzville? I hope you’re not TOO bored. I know you’re at craft camp, so I bet you’re enjoying that. You HAVE to call me as soon as your brother or sister is born. I hope it’s a boy – you don’t want to have a sister like Millie! Anyway, I’ve gotta go – we’re about to head out for dinner again. That’s another thing: I’ve been to THE best restaurants! Call me soon and I’ll tell you more! Love, Cowabelle
Last Summer’s Design…
‘Tis the season for camping, right friends? Even though it’s been a tough summer for me so far, what with my brother touring and having a BLAST living life as a rock star, I’m still trying my hardest to design rooms. It hasn’t been easy. I just haven’t been very inspired. For inspiration, I decided to take a look back at last year’s cabin design that Elwin and I did. What do you think of it? Ah, those were the good old days. I just miss Elwin so much. Maybe he’ll come home to visit soon. I sure hope so.
Roberta’s Craft: Rock Bug Collection
We had such a great time at craft camp this morning! The counselors told us we were going to make a bug collection, and initially I was a little grossed out. When they brought out trays of rocks and acrylic paint, I realized we weren’t talking about real bugs! Here’s how to make a (fake) bug collection of your own! What you need: Rocks in all different shapes and sizes (choose ones that remind you of insects), acrylic paint in all different colors, paint brush, craft glue, wiggle eyes, paper or plastic plate where your rocks can dry Optional: glitter, permanent marker, pipe cleaners, sequins What you do: Decide how you want each rock to look – what bug can you make from each rock? You can glue rocks together if you like (to make something like a caterpillar). Paint each rock and let it dry. When the first coat of paint is dry, add any details on with more paint (or a permanent marker, if you’re trying to add really fine details). Add wiggle eyes. Display your bug collection for all to see!
Amazing Marshmallows!
Know what makes summer campfires sweeter than sweet? Marshmallows! You can collect a whole bunch of them this summer by visiting the Map of Kinzville and clicking on the tent once a day. You can also get a Marshmallow by visiting Webkinz Newz once a day and asking for Marshmallows from your friends. You’re going to LOVE the prizes you get for reaching different levels of your collection!

Roberta’s Craft: Fake Campfire!
Hey everyone! Roberta here with a super simple and wonderfully FUN craft! Today I’m going to show you how to make a fake campfire! What you need:Three paper towel tubes, brown craft paint, paintbrush, black craft paint, brown construction paper, yellow construction paper, red construction paper, orange construction paper, craft glue, scissors What you do: Cut out a brown construction paper circle for each end of each paper towel role. Glue them in place. When the glue is dry, paint each paper towel tube brown. These are your logs! When the brown paint is dry, paint on black lines to make the logs look like they have bark on them. When the black paint is dry, glue all three logs together in a campfire arrangement. Cut out orange, red and yellow flames from the construction paper. Glue the flames together and then glue them in place on your logs. For extra fun, I got a pencil and painted it brown to look like a stick. I then got a Styrofoam marshmallow and stuck it on the end! Now I can pretend I’m camping anytime I want!
Summer is HERE!
Sparky here with some exciting, amazing, outstanding, fabulous, AWESOME news – school is out for summer! I can’t believe how HAPPY that makes me! I mean, I know that I’m going to be working at the Curio Shop for most of the summer…and I know my friends won’t all be in town…but know what? That’s OK! Because I won’t be at school! I can sleep in (a little bit) and watch TV (an hour a day at least!) and I won’t have any assignments or homework or anything like that! Tell me, friends, what is your favorite thing about the summer holidays?
Kinzville Sings! Final TWO Contestants!
Heya! Dacey here with some exciting news – we’re down to the final TWO contestants on Kinzville Sings! Some of you guessed that it would be PJ and Elwin – and you’re right! We said a sad goodbye to Wiggles the other day, but we’re thrilled with our last two performers. I decided to ask them both how they’ve enjoyed their Kinzville Sings! experience. Elwin: I’ve had a blast! I never imagined that I would make it this far, or that I would enjoy singing this much. Before the competition, I’d sing in the shower, of course, but never in front of an audience – or judges, for that matter! I’m just totally stoked to be one of the final two. This is exciting! PJ: Wow, I can’t really even describe how amazing this experience has been for me. I was nervous starting out, but my confidence has grown with each performance. The judges have been super-helpful with their critiques. Even if I don’t win, I feel like I’ve learned SO much and that this has had such a positive influence on me! Yay for Kinzville Sings! In a mere three days we’ll know who … Read more
Plumpy’s Webkinz World Tour
Dear Everyone, Plumpy here on my honeymoon! Our first stop on our whirlwind tour of Webkinz World was the Adventure Park. It was so much fun to see such an exciting place! Charles introduced me to some of the Webkinz who live there (I especially liked Boris). We walked around for a little while and had a fantastic time. Have you ever been to the Adventure Park? If so, what’s your favorite part? Talk again soon! Love, Plumpy
