Last Summer’s Design…

‘Tis the season for camping, right friends? Even though it’s been a tough summer for me so far, what with my brother touring and having a BLAST living life as a rock star, I’m still trying my hardest to design rooms. It hasn’t been easy. I just haven’t been very inspired. For inspiration, I decided to take a look back at last year’s cabin design that Elwin and I did. What do you think of it?

Ah, those were the good old days. I just miss Elwin so much. Maybe he’ll come home to visit soon. I sure hope so.

Hailey, to be honest with you~ it seems like your heart isn’t into decorating while Elwin is gone this summer. Is there anything else that would interest u and keep u busy for the summer? Are you interested in cooking? Maybe Chef Sophia would hire you to help her during the busy summer season :)

I think that the cave man theme doesn’t have that cozy feeling you want while camping–I’m not saying it’s bad cuz it is good, but you should try a different room theme–like the country one! Try to give it a cozy, and warm feeling.

Okay Hailey, enough is enough. If you’re down to recycling last year’s designs instead of coming up with new ones, something needs to be done here. I think it would help if you get busy with something new, & here’s my suggestion. Why don’t you invite a young, talented person to come work with you in your studio a few hours a week? Someone like, say, Roberta? You could be a mentor & pass on your design expertise. Or, find someone a little older than her & offer them an internship. You wouldn’t be lonely any more & your designing will be back on track!

The use of the table is good but the beds and dresser is overpowering. Something simpler and cozy would be better like the campkinz beds and I used the scrambled egg chairs for a conversation corner.

If you do a camp room over toy storage is important for games and balls. NO WHITE it gets dirty far too fast best to stay with earth tones. Dirt brown , sandy tan colors, moss or grass greens. I also notice no bath tub to clean up in or sink or toilet. OK there could be an out house. There is a fire hydrant if you could add a screen to it outside that could work. :)
