1. When you have extra bags of oranges, Potatoes, what have you, the type that comes in mesh containers. Instead of throwing it away save the material and bundle it up it makes a good Pot scrubber!
2. If you get the newspaper you can use them as doggie pooper scooper bags rather than throw them out because they are the perfect size.
3. Instead of throwing away harmful things to earth, like plastic bottles, make stuff out of them!
4. Always sort though your garbage into five piles: Glass, Plastic, Aluminum/Tin, Paper, and Trash.
5. Buy rechargeable batteries, this will help the the environment from batteries leaking in lakes if and when they fall in.
6. Begin a compost pile. Instead of wasting those fruit garbage, such as banana peels put it together and get some worms. The compost gets rid of the trash and also gives you fresh soil, to grow your own fruits and vegetables
7. Up-cycle, remake old, small, worn out clothes into new creations of your very own, such as purses, or maybe a jacket, the possibles are endless
8. Reuse thoses plastic grocery bags. They help with groceries, of course, but they are also useful for other things. Like if you have a small garbage bin you can use the grocery bag as a trash bag or if you are moving you can pack those shampoo bottles and stuff in there instead of boxes, which helps for using less cardboard.
9. Limit use of disposable cups and plates. Throwing them away you are filling up landfills. Find a recyclable alternative instead, But if you have to use them you can use them instead of throwing it away make crafts out of it. Like a little chair for your Webkinz
10. Arts and Crafts! Use old cardboard, paper, plastic, and create something new, just for fun! It can be anything a little bed for your webkinz made out of cardboard, a dress from a outfit you can’t fit in them, there is many found things if you use your imagination
11. Donate old books instead of throwing them away, because you should never throw away books, that’s wrong. You never know who might be looking for the book you have, and also if it’s in just too bad then recycle the paper!
12. Water is a natural resource and desrves to be un-wasted so don’t use if, if you don’t need it. Like keeping the water running while you brush your teeth
13. Buy recycled paper, it helps limit the amount of trees cut down, and using both sides also saves paper!
14. Colored Plastic Bottles and lights can make a really cool night light!
15. You can always save those glass bottles and put different colored sand in them to make really pretty decorations
16. You can use those Box Lids to put your mail, keys, and other important things you have when you get home.
17. Shoe Boxes can made into Happy Boxes, which you put things that make you happy so when you are sad you can look into your happy box and feel better.
18. Any clean or recently washed fabric left over from anything can be sewn together and used again for all sorts of things, like clothes for your webkinz, You might have to have a parent help you though.
19. Paper towel and toilet paper rolls are amazing if you want to make a staff or a sword for you and your Webkinz, you can also make horns too!
20. If you don’t have recycling pickup service in your area, you can usually find a place to take it in town which is usually by a grocery store. But you can probably ask someone! anyway, take all of your recycling there.
21. Some Places you can save your soda cans and bottles and then you can go get some money for it, which you could keep, or donate it to a homeless person!
22. Turn Pop Bottles, small or large, into planters
23. After washing the laundry soap container out, it can become an awesome Watering Can or if it has a spout, it can hold water for outside animals, such as for rabbits to fill their water bottles
24. Plastic containers with lids like from coffee can be good for storing craft supplies
25. Shoe Boxes could be good for holding photos, or drawings
26. Instead of throwing away the bottom of the celery stalk put it in some water, it should grow a whole new stalk of celery same with carrot tops and onions I believe
