By Ella McWoof

Happy holidays, readers! Christmas is almost here and so today I am interviewing the residents of Kinzville to find out their favorite things about the holidays. Let’s hear what they had to say.

Ella McWoof: Here’s our good friend, Arte Fact. Arte, what is your favorite thing about Christmas.

Arte: Well, Ella, I just love being able to help my customers find that perfect gift for someone special on their list when they come into the Curio Shop. I also love spending time with my nephew, Sparky. He’s a great kid who always works hard and does his best. I know sometimes he gets a little off track, but I know he can pull it together by Christmas.

EM: Thanks, Arte! Now here’s Roberta Rabbit. Roberta, can you tell us your favorite thing about Christmas?

Roberta: Huh? Oh, sorry – I’m kind of exhausted right now. Christmas? Yeah, I really like making crafts at Christmas. At least, I always used to. For some reason right about now I’m not really feeling it, but generally, yeah, I like making crafts at Christmas.

EM: Okay. Interesting. Ms Cowoline, your favorite thing about Christmas?

Ms. Cowoline: Well, Ella, what I like about Christmas is that MOST ‘Kinz, at this time of year, are thinking about others, not themselves. I wish EVERYONE could see that Christmas should be about giving and not receiving but apparently some ‘Kinz just don’t get it, you know?

EM: Wow! Seems like there’s something going on under the surface there but probably best not to ask. Here’s Chef Gazpacho. Chef, tell us what you like about Christmas.

Chef Gazpacho: Well, Ella, I love it that no matter how old I get I can still be surprised by someone when the spirit of the season gets into them. And I want to give a little shout out to my good friend, Fluffington!

EM: Yeah, I hear you’ll be catering his party! Here’s Molly. Molly, what do you like best about Christmas?

Molly: Well, I kind of can’t believe I’m saying this, but what I like best is being with my family – my whole family, cousins and everything. I have this new little cousin named Holly and she is adorable! She is the best gift I could ask for.

EM: Aw, that’s so sweet, Molls. Well, that’s just a brief snapshot of some of the joy flowing around Kinzville this Christmas. I hope you’re all looking forward to the holidays too. Oh, and MY favorite thing at Christmas is the same as the rest of the year – being able to visit with my friends in Kinzville and learn all about them and share it with you. Merry Christmas!

      My favortie part of Christmas:
My Aunt always has a Christmas party on Christmas Eve. My cousin and I almost NEVER get to see each other because we live in different states. My cousin is a grownup, but (strangely) we have SO much in common. Even my dad says that I sound JUST like Heidi. When she sees me she screams, “McKenna!” and gives me a big hug. My favorite part of Christms is spending time with Heidi. :D ;) :D ;)

      *Luv from LillyLuvie*

      • lillyluvie says:

Oh hmmm. A spoted leopard….. hmmm.
For a boy you could name it Johnny, James, Fearless, Scraggy(or ey), Bobby, Tiny, or Eli.
Girl names are Alisha, Fiona, Selena, Molly, Cutie, Sweetie, DeeDee, Victoria, Jessie… ect.
Those are some names I would look at. :D

        *Luv from LillyLuvie*

        • Kodiak...names to support your inner rock-star! says:

Girls names: Ann, Nancy, Claire, Marianne, Amanda, Hollyann, Julie
Boys names: Rick, Brad, Jimmi, Jon, Jonesy, Sam, Robert, Fran, Paul, George

          • SciFiBeatlesGleek says:

Ooh Paul and George are great names!! :)

          • lion lover says:

did you get that from the Beatles? just wondering, ’cause 2 of them are named that.

          • SciFiBeatlesGleek says:

That is EXACTLY what i was thinking!! :D

          • Boston ROCKs...the reason says:

My sister adores names of rock stars or song names that are a name. Boston is my favorite, and it was Led Zeppelin inspired. “…’till I see Marianne walk away!…” Northwestern is going to like seeing the name Rick up there. Rick is the guitarist of her favorite band, CheapTrick. Another 70s band inspired by the beatles and Led Zeppelin. Can’t forget Jimmi Hendrix either!

          • Northwestern...oh great says:

Boston ROCKs, you just got me listening to everyday music when I should be listening to Christmas stuff. “…Surrender, surrender, but don’t give yourself away…” Tom Petersson and paul McCartney really are the best bassists. But Tom Petersson wouldn’t be playing bass for CheapTrick if Rick hadn’t created it! And Nancy Wilson of heart…

          • Northwestern...Tom the frog was named after Tom Petersson says:

Another reason why I’ve grown so attached to that band. Oh, if only he’d made it. I really hope I do get a webkinz tree frog for Christmas.

    • Smileygirl says:

I have a spotted leapord, and his name is spots. I know it’s kind of a usual, popular name, but you could use it if you don’t have anything else. It doesn’t matter to me!!!! Hope you find a good name!!!!

    • Icewolf says:

Hey FlowerSt@r! I’ve got a couple of names for your Leopard. Lol! I have a fealing that Mrs.Cowoline is directing her words at Cowoline!
      Girl names: Boy names:
      FlowerStar Capitan
      Holly Leo
      Rain Forest

      • sarahandlacey says:

I named my spotted Leopard stacey! If you like the name you can use it! Everyone is all flustered at chistmas even me! I don’t know what to get my brother! He’s 16! Any ideas?  ;-) :-)

    • LemonCandy etc. says:

Merry Christmas to you too, Ella! My favorite thing about Christmas is getting together with family! I love going to my Aunt’s for Christmas eve. We visit, have dinner and dessert, then hand presents out! I always make gifts for two of my cousins! I know that i’m supposed to like giving better then receiving but…I like them both the same! I love making gifts too! This year my sister and I made pillows that say I Love You Mom and I Love You Dad, on them for our parents! Hmmm……A name for a leopard? How about Meredith or Marjorie? I really want a grey and white cat and I was thinking i’d name her Meredith cause I really like that name.

    • Serene says:

Hmm, for a spotted leopard, I would name it: For A Girl: River , Rain, or Sahara. For A Boy: Splotches. For Girl Or Boy: Spots. Hope this helped at least a little :!:
      Happy Holidays :!: -Serene

I just saw The Lion King for the first time and it was Amazing!! My cat was in the room the whole time it was playing I think he wants to be like Symba! :D My favorite thing about Christmas is seeing my little cousin. she is 2 and turning 3 in a month and she is so cute! She has a great kitty impersonation!! I hope everyone has a great holiday!!

        • Northwestern...how about says:

If you can stomach the sad scene in the Lion King, you might be able to stomach the fox and the hound sad scene. Me? Either one, I will cry, weep, and snub until the end of the movie. I am a complete animal lover, and I don’t know why they have to make it so sad

    • holidays 45 says:

maybe something like uh ooh what about if it is a girl precious and boy maybe spots I recommend precious cause that sounds sweet.

      • NeptuneFeline925 says:

I was really sad in that scene. I’m awful with that kinda stuff b/c I’m big animal lover too especially cats as you can see. I don’t really know why they had to make it sad but maybe it was to make the whole movie heart-warming and to see how someone can still be strong even if they think it’s their fault. But it wasn’t his fault! That’s what made me sad b/c he was blaming himself for something he didn’t do. It was still really good when the happy things were going on!! Happy Holidays!! ~NeptuneFeline925^.,.^ ♪♫Nƒ♪♫
