Today Elwin and I got to try landscaping – and I think it went pretty well! We actually consulted with Fluffington (who know everything there is to know about fancy plants) before we designed the Rabbit family’s backyard. Elwin and I knew we didn’t want to make their yard as extravagant as Fluffington’s, but we did want to have an area just for the grownups – and an area for the kids.
First, here’s the old backyard:
We’ve got a fountain, a quiet bench (perfect for reading), and, of course, we added in a swing set and slide for the new baby! What do you think?
I have to comment here. Wow. That is…blah. Don’t like it. No where NEAR as good as the other remodels…~FLW~ :)
I think it’s nice but I agree with Philadelphia Kinz and tygerkit, they shouldn’t have taken the carrot garden, maybe they could have placed some kind of fence so as not to be seen. And it surely needs flowers!! Werallunique☺☻♥♪♫☼ ;) :)
It is nice. They can bring a blanket out from the house for picnics. I might have taken out that center planting and put in a picnic table so that Roberta could gather there with her friends. Still, it is a nice backyard. All the best! MDIChickadee
I agree! ~Azula Tiger
It is sort of boring. Sorry guys, but I don’t really like it. (*(*dragonfish*)*)
The new Victorian Garden Rare Theme items CLASH with the youthfulness of the swing & slide. And the layout is much too boxy. It could use a fence or some bushes/trees to soften it up a bit….
yeah. its just kinda – BLAH. its needs pathways, flowers & trees, little areas that are separate from the rest of it. a patio area for bbq. and the RABBIT family needs their CARROT garden back! ~tygerkit~
Totally they should have kept the carrot garden with them being rabbits and all *Philadelphia Kinz*
Yeah, I thought that too. And it could’ve used more flowers also!
I know there’s supposed to be a play area for the baby and everything, but the slide and swing don’t look right with the peacefullness of the rest of the garden. Did I spell peacefullness right?
I think it is really nice but the swing set and slide don’t match i think you should of put a different slide
That’s a good backyard I would definitely use it.
It’s…… okay. I expected better- and I know they CAN do better than this. The slide doesn’t match. ~ SugarComet***
I feel like that too SugarComet…
Did you get the request, SugarComet?
Its ok, I just think it needs more stuff in it. I would personally put a fire pit, camp kinz table, a pool, and some plants. ;) ~KK♥
it’s OK. I actually like the greenhouse in the old one. and they should keep the carrots, you know rabbits? carrots???
I completly agree. If they moved the table and the chairs in the old backyard and moved or took out the flower patches, it would look fine. They also could have moved the tree. But did they HAVE to remove the greenhouse? I really liked that!
Thats ’cause the slides for the little rabbit. Kids like bright colors.
The slide doesn’t go with any part of the backyard, so they really need to take that out. The backyard is good, but I was expecting better work than this (That being said by @SugarComet). I think they could do a little bit more effort in that backyard. There’s some more space for more items you could put around it. ~Chicago Made☠
i agree
I agree. They should really keep the carrots & other plants. ~Lemon*Starburst~
your right!!!! the slides DON’T match!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think this is ok! Your friend sarahandlacey!  ;-) :-)
DEFINATLY, I Mean They COULD Have Put The Play Area Somewhere Else And Added A Pool &A Barbeque Place (Tables & Chairs With Patio Rocks And BBQ) I Could Do Better!!!!! (If Youve EVER Seen My Backyard Youd KNOW I Could ) :) **~**Sonici**~**
When they said an area for the kids and one for the adults, I thought there would be more definition to the two spaces. Instead, its one big blob. Also, there’s no focal point of the backyard. I really couldn’t figure it out at first. It’s bland, boring and mismatched. You can do better!
