Oh, hi! It’s me, Roberta. Sorry I haven’t checked in lately but, well, this big sister thing hasn’t exactly been going according to plan. Reid has been really colicky lately. That means that he’s fussy and crying all the time because he probably has a sore tummy. Dr. Quack says it’s fairly normal. I do feel sorry for the little guy, but seriously – I don’t know how much more of this I can take! He never seems to stop!
And I don’t even have it the worst. My mom and dad said I could sleep downstairs in my craft room if I wanted so that I wouldn’t have to listen to Reid cry at night, but they don’t have that option. They’re both like zombies, wandering around in a daze, with big dark circles under their eyes. My mom said it’s not really that bad, that it’s just a phase and Reid will get over it soon enough, but I have to say – this is not how I imagined it would be to have a baby around. I thought it would be all cuteness and cuddles, not screaming and crying all the time.
And just between you and me – the bigger a baby gets, the bigger the mess in his diaper gets, if you know what I mean. And that’s just gross.
Aw, you poor thing.
Aw, sorry to hear about that, Roberta. Reid’s just a baby though, so don’t take it so personal. I mean, I’m sure some babies go through those sore tummy feelings once they’re born, and it is normal. My sister was the same way, and she would always cry harder than a baby pig. I mean, she really was in pain, but the Dr. said that it wasn’t anything serious, so yeah, I think babies are sometimes going to go trough that. I just hope that Reid gets all better though. So, the sister thing isn’t working out for now, but you’ll get there. ~Chicago Made ☠
@CM – Yah, I know what you mean. And Roberta, I think Reid will put a lot of work onto yourself. Babies ARE sometimes hard to take care of, and I think Reid is going to make it a bit hard for you. But he’s just a baby, so don’t push yourself too hard. Haha, wow, @CM, your sister would cray harder than a baby pig? Wow. O.o My brother was the same way when he was a baby, but I don’t think I was. -Sadie♥ ♫ ★
Maybe he’s teething (teething means growing teeth). It really hurts a baby’s gums. He needs toys to chew on to soothe his gums.
It’s all good. you’r mom is right this will all be over soon enough. Then the real fun starts just wait till the terriable two’s
I feel your pain. I have a baby bro, too. Let’s hope it doesn’t last forever! My bro STILL throws fits and bites himself! Poor thing…. And that’s just when he doesn’t get his way. Even though he’s nearly 4, he seems like he’s 1. It’s hard with my little bro. Try my life! HEHEHE…..! SMILE FOREVER!! :) ! – sydvicious24
I know exactly how you feel! I have a baby sister who is a few months old AND 4 other younger siblings. My baby sister is still soooo cute!! He`ll get over it.You better enjoy him while it lasts…..babies grow sooooo fast.
Roberta, I’m shure this will be over soon! And then Reid will, very quickly, be back to cutess cuddles. But just remember, he is just a baby and will still cry and make messes! Peace, luv, and Miss piggy, funluver000
That is going to go on until he is about 2 or3 but this has to happen!Soon he’ll get out of it!
Sorry things aren’t going the way you wanted Roberta. I’m sure things will get better with you and Reid very soon. Good luck! Crazed Always, ☊FunkinessCraze☮
I SO know what you mean Roberta. After my baby brother got out of that phase, he started his teething phase….when little Reid goes throught that phase, WATCH OUT FOR BITING ROBERTA.
See, Roberta, u think babies are so sweet and innocent, (well, let’s be honest, everyone thinks that) but when they start to cry there not cute at all. That’s why I said in the last comment about Reid, that babies are going to be a lot of work, and it looks like u came across that point. See, now u understand. P.S…..Hey,Ganz, can u please make Norwegian Forest Cats? Please, for my B-Day? ;) -♥nihao9♥
@nihao9 – I think babies are cute no matter if they cry or not! Roberta, prepare to care for your little brother, because it’s going to be HARD work. Babies are hard to care for, because you don’t know what they exactly want when they cry. Hopefully, you learn a good lesson though, Roberta. I think you’ll be a wondeful sister too! Good luck! And I hope Reid gets better. -Kenzi <3
