Christmas Contest winners

Congratulations to Devon, Alanna, Emily, Tasha and Adam! They've been selected as our winners for the Christmas contest. We wanted to know what the best Christmas present you've ever received was.

The best Christmas present that I have ever gotten would be my cat. Now he wasn't under the tree with a bow, but it was the same thrill of opening up a present. He was sweet to me all the time and loved getting his belly rubbed. I love my cat so much! He is like a stuffed animal, but he walks and purrs, which I love! We almost lost him to another family, but in the end we got my furry, feline friend. That was the best Christmas ever!

The best Christmas present I have ever received is my pink camera. My brothers had just finished opening their presents. Theirs were huge and mine was just this little box. But I had learned from past experiences that big things come in small packages. I started carefully tearing the wrapping paper, but I did not expect much since the person who was giving it to me was my very grouchy uncle who did not like me very much. I saw the box, but did not know what was inside. The second I saw what it was my mouth dropped open and I let out a high pitch scream! It was the camera I had been wanting for years! The Nikon Coolpix L21. It was metallic pink and it was the only thing I had wanted all year. I don't know what I will want next year, but this Christmas present was by far the best I had ever received.

In 2004, I received the best Christmas gift ever! My grandma gave me a beautiful doll with a couple outfits. Two days after Christmas, she passed away. This is a very special gift to me. I was never able to play with my doll with my grandma. I wish that she was still alive! I really miss her. When ever I look at my doll, it reminds me of her. This is my favorite present ever, and I will keep it with me forever!

A few years ago, I really wanted a Nintendo Wii. I started my Christmas list real early and sent it to Santa early so he would be sure to not miss it. I would talk about the Wii everyday to my parents and siblings. I would tell them all about until they finally tuned me out. On Christmas morning as we raced down the stairs I didn't see any box big enough to hold a Wii. I was disappointed but I was still grateful as I opened every gift addressed to me. As we reached the end, my mom pulled out a big gift and said "This was in the way back." As I tore the paper apart, I screamed in joy –  I unwrapped a brand new Nintendo Wii. I accidentally began to cry, but my mom hugged me, laughing at my reaction to the amazing gift. I still use the Wii practically every day. It was the best gift ever and it just keeps on giving!
- Tasha

The best Christmas present I've ever gotten is Super Smash Bros. Brawl for Wii. The reason I find it the best is because it has an interesting gameplay none of my other games have and combine my favorite characters together. It is a hard choice, but Super Smash Bros. Brawl takes it. I mean, who wouldn't want to see Sonic the Hedgehog go against Pikachu going against Link against Donkey Kong on Hyrule Bridge? It is also fun because it adds the feature Final Smash, which can make your character do extreme attacks, like Kirby becomes Cook Kirby and Ike gets Great Aether. I have literally played HOURS on it, and it is one of the few good games on my Wii. Truly, it's a good game

All the winners were very creative. But much too dramatic.
I have entered many Webkinz newz contests and have not been one of the winners. I came up with a really cute story once, and entered. Again, I didn’t get chosen. I know that there are a lot of contestants but it drives me nuts.

Ha ha, I remember Christmas of 2008. I stayed up late waiting for Santa to come so the next morning i woke up late. My dad ( somehow ) sneaked a cell phone under my pillow and then Christmas morning when I’m sleeping he decides to CALL it. I woke up and at first i thought my alarm went off and it was school already, but them i realize that it wasn’t a song, it was a cell phone tone! I now need a new cell phone though because its been two years since I’ve had this one so I’m getting a new one soon!
