Craft: Rainfall Measurement Device

What you need:

-          A glass jar

-          A piece of masking tape

-          A ruler

-          A marker

What you do:

Run a strip of masking tape up the side of the jar. Use your ruler to mark lines on the tape one inch apart, starting at the bottom.  When it rains, set your jar outside in the rain. Afterward check to see how high the water is.

    I wonder how big around the jar should be. The measurements could be off if you use a really wide jar, like a large pickle jar versus a jar that is taller and narrower.

    Cool! I love it when it rains.. I have fun in the rain with my dog, take a shower, and relax inside afterward. …Doesn’t that sound like a good plan for Booger? He can play and then relax.

            Welcolm GoldenShadowsForever. Absolutely correct, Heatherstem, and in my middle school, there is an advanced program, so they tell you to pick a Foreign language first, they chose a random class other than PE, and not knowing, my cousin and I picked orchestra, so we don’t have PE. Instead we race from classes on opposite ends of the building, and we WALK 8 blocks to and from school, even in heavy rain. (I have come to school soaked)
