Doug the Dog’s Interview

Today I have the pleasure of interviewing none other than Doug the Dog – yes, THE Doug the Dog.

EM: Doug, I’m so glad you were able to join us today!
DD: Me too, Ella! It’s not often that I get an interview request.
EM: I’m surprised! You’re one of Webkinz World’s best adventurers!
DD: That’s very kind of you to say, Ella. Thank you.
EM: No, I mean it. I read your latest book of adventures, “The Places I’ve Been” – it was quite good.
DD: Why, thank you! That means a lot to me.
EM: What’s your favorite adventure, Doug?
DD: Oh, there are so many! To choose just one would be too difficult. My most memorable adventure, however, was definitely the one I took many years ago. I went on a long hike through the Magical Forest. I managed to find a very interesting looking rock – I actually thought I’d discovered something new! I was SO excited. I put the rock safely in my backpack and camped out for the night. Around midnight, I heard a weird noise outside of my tent. I’m not sure what it was, but in the morning, my backpack had a huge slice in it. And my rock was GONE. I think someone knew I had it – and they wanted it back. I can’t say for sure who that individual was, but I have my suspicions.
EM: And you’ve never found a rock like it again?
DD: Never.

EM: Wow. So, Doug, what are you up to these days? Still visiting all corners of Webkinz World?
DD: Always! I’ll never stop adventuring! Unlike some dogs I know, I don’t feel the need to retire and work at a shop.
EM: Ah, you’re referring to Arte?
DD: Who else? Arte – my former best friend.
EM: Do you think you two will ever be pals again?
DD: I really don’t think so. Too much time has passed – we just don’t see eye-to-eye at all. He’s not the same dog he was when we were puppies.
EM: Do you ever miss going on adventures with Arte?
DD: I- I have to go. Thanks for the interview, Ella.

EM: I think I’ll take that as a ‘yes’.
