Friendship Story

Hi Webkinz fans! Roberta and I have decided to work together and try our hand at writing our own story. We’ve been thinking of the best way to do this so we thought we’d discuss the overall plot of our story and figure out the beginning, middle and end, and then each take turns writing parts of the story. We chose to do a story about a trip to the spa with some unexpected consequences.

I’m going to start.

Cowabelle: Mrs. Cowoline (that’s my mom!) was thrilled. She was planning to take a break from her taxing job running Kinzville Academy and enjoy a restful retreat at the spa.

Roberta: Mrs. Cowoline packed her favorite things and headed over to the travel agency to book her trip. Of all of Mrs. Cowoline’s belongings, her most treasured item was a beautiful crystal ring that had been a gift from her beloved daughter, Cowabelle.

Cowabelle: Mrs. Cowoline’s trip to the spa was a great success. She returned to her job at the Kinzville Academy feeling contented and relaxed. That was, until a couple of days later when she made a disturbing discovery.

Roberta: Mrs. Cowoline realized that her ring was missing! She was beside herself. She searched her home and office thoroughly, but there was no sign of the ring.

Cowabelle: When she realized that the ring was truly missing, Mrs. Cowoline had a terrible thought. Could it be possible that one of the students at Kinzville Academy was a thief?

Roberta: But Mrs. Cowoline dismissed this idea immediately. She trusted the students at Kinzville Academy implicitly. She must have dropped the ring when she and Cowabelle were walking through the park.

Cowabelle: With a heavy heart, Mrs. Cowaline prepared to tell her daughter the sad news. As she was walking up the stairs to Cowabelle’s room, the phone rang. It was Debbie Dragon from the Travel Agency.

Roberta: Debbie said, “Oh, Mrs. Cowoline, I’m so glad I caught you! One of the staff at the spa found a ring by the mud bath and we think it might be yours.” Mrs. Cowoline suddenly remembered – she had been so worried about getting mud in her ring, she had removed it and carefully placed it next to the mud bath.

Cowabelle: When Mrs. Cowoline arrived at the Travel Agency, she happily placed the ring upon her finger. Immediately she felt as if a weight had been lifted from her.

Roberta: Mrs. Cowoline was so relieved to have her ring back, she decided that this was even better to a trip to the spa. She had never felt so relaxed!
