Hailey & Elwin’s Pink Bathroom Makeover

Readers – Elwin here. Well, Hailey and I went pretty pink with Persephone’s bedroom so we decided to pull it back a bit for the bathroom.

We knew that Persephone wanted a bathroom that was elegant and sophisticated so we chose to go with a very understated use of pink. The Nursery wallpaper gave us one big hit of pink with the pink tree. We decided that if we used neutral tones throughout all we needed was that one focal point to communicate the color. A few pinky-purple flowers here and there helped to emphasize the gentle, feminine look.

Although we stuck to neutrals for the most part, this bathroom is anything but dull. We decided that a stone floor would be a daring choice. And once we went with such a bold floor, we realized that a plain old tub would never do – not for someone as fab as our Persephone! We really made a statement with the Elven Bathing Pool. Who wouldn’t want to unwind there after a long day? The Spa Steam Shower accented the stone floor perfectly with its stone base and surround. Again – those flowers and grasses add just the subtle touch of softness this space needs.  We finished the look with an antique sink and toilet for an eclectic feel that fit right in with this unique loo.

We were a bit nervous that Persephone would say it wasn’t pink enough but guess what? She loved it! She said it was just the right combo of calming and decadent – exactly the escape she was looking for.
