Okay, I know I’ve been doing a lot of complaining about my cousins lately. (Sorry about that, by the way.) But today I met another cousin for the very first time and you know what? I think I’m going to like this one just fine.
My Aunt Maria arrived today and she brought along a very special package. It was my brand new baby cousin, Holly! She is absolutely adorable! Aunt Maria let me hold her and she is so tiny and pink! At first she was sleeping and Aunt Maria said not to feel bad if she started crying when she woke up. She said babies do that. But after a little while, Holly opened her eyes and guess what? She gave me a huge smile! Aunt Maria said she must really like me!
Then Aunt Maria said that she had to go into the kitchen and start working on her famous chocolate pecan pie because we were going to have that for dessert. And then she asked if I wouldn’t mind babysitting Holly for her while she baked. Oh my gosh! That is a pretty big responsibility, you know, but Aunt Maria said she had total faith in me.
I put a blanket down on the ground and sat down there with Holly and waved around some of the baby toys that Aunt Maria had brought along. Holly smiled when I waggled a little rattle in front of her face, but she really seemed to love looking at Millie’s stuffies. She giggled every time I held one up.
Just then Millie came in and when she saw what I was doing she snatched away her stuffies. I told her she should share but she said she didn’t have to. Then she said she wanted me to come and make cookies with her. I told her that I couldn’t make cookies with her right now because I was looking after the baby. Millie looked like she was going to cry and said that I had promised. When I explained that I would make cookies with her, I just couldn’t do it now, she stomped out of the room, carrying her stuffies with her.
I felt bad for Millie, but you know what? I was having so much fun looking after Holly that I barely even noticed Robby and Bobby running around the house in superhero capes, jumping off the furniture.
Awwww Holly sounds adorable i wish they posted a picture of Holly!anyway, Poor millie she is just giving Holly a bit more attention because she is the new baby she will play with you later Millie! it’s not polite to be jealous! Happy holidays Starhearts

Awes she sounds adorable!!! Millie’s just jealous. But Millie is being totally unreasonable, i mean she was doing just fine when all the good things happened to her, and laughed when everything bad happened to you. Now that one good thing happened, she’s crying. She needs to behave better.
Did you read the W-tale about when Molly babysitted Millie? They ended up doing something else! But I won’t spoil it for those who haven’t read it.
Awww! You should buy Holly some of her own stuffies and talk to your sister. That was rude! The baby was happy!!!
Maybe you should buy a stuffed animal for Holly for Christmas and take Millie’s gift back and find a bag of coal and divide it up for Robby, Bobby, and Millie! Maybe SantaKinz will put coal in their stockings and you can give them some too!

It sounds like me and my baby second cousin, Savannah. Savannah is fussy though, because she has some painful infantry conditions. Hopefully It’ll go away soon. One time, when I was holding her, she put her arms out in air guitar position. Boston ROCKs got a kick out of that one!
See Molly being the oldest is great! If you were millie’s age and millie was your age you wouldn’t have this responsibility! :) ;) :D I have a toddler cousin she’s 2 turning 3 in a month and is so cute! She loves cats just like me and has a great kitty impersonation! :D :) ;) :mrgreen:

krystalkat, she just met Holly! and anyway, if you’re on babysitting duty while the parent is busy, you can’t just set the baby down and go off doing something else! my god! what are you thinking? “oh, i have to go make cookies, i’ll just set the baby here and let it do whatever!” cookies are optional, if Holly found, lets say, a piece of popcorn, and decided to put it in her mouth, she could die! you did the right thing Molly, you tried to explain to Millie you couldn’t do it right then, i think Millie just wants all the attention.
