I went to visit my friend Roberta yesterday, and I have to say – I’m glad I did. Not only did I escape the insane clean-a-thon that’s happening at my house (in preparation for my relatives’ arrival), but I also managed to cheer Roberta up.
When I arrived, Roberta was sitting in front of the TV, just looking really…well, kind of bored and angry. I’m not sure what emotion that is. But that’s definitely how she looked. Roberta told me that she had seen Cowabelle earlier, and when Cowabelle heard what Roberta was doing for Christmas (making all the gifts by hand), she told her that was a terrible idea, and that no one wants handmade gifts. I couldn’t believe Cowabelle! She was so mean to her best friend. I don’t think she realized how much she hurt Roberta’s feelings. I told Roberta that I’d be thrilled to get a gift from her, particularly one she made herself. Roberta was surprised. She said that after talking to Cowabelle, she figured everyone would dislike her homemade gifts. I assured her that we’d all love them. Roberta seemed much happier by the time I left. It’s always so nice to cheer up a friend!
;D YAY! Oh. :( I want a gift from Roberta too! I bet they’re GREAT! :)

You’re a good friend, Molly. I always want to see people happy, too. And I’m sure people WILL be very happy to recieve Roberta’s homemade gifts. Because even if it’s something very simple, if you really put time and effort into it for someone, it shows you really care about them. Keep up the good work! I’m sure Cowabelle and Stoogles will come around sometime.

Sorry you are having friend problems. No real advice except just be the person you are – be nice to everyone, do not talk about anyone (except if you are saying how wonderful they are), and think of fun things to do before you see them, so that when you are with them, there will be free fun things to do that you can all do together (walk in the park, go listen to music, play a sport, make something – not certain what you and your friends like to do). I am going to see one of my best friends over the holidays, and we have challenged each other to find five free fun things to do together. We have snow here, so one of my things will be to go sledding, and, if we get new snow, to make snow people. Good luck!

Sorry, about the friend-ship problems too, but I have my share of them also. Just don’t do something that you will regret later on. This happened to me, but I don’t really want to talk about it! :cry:
That was the right thing to do, Molly! Even if you don’t like a gift, don’t admitt it. I have gotten gifts that are sort of blah, but I still woud never admitt that to my friends or family. Kathlornick, you’re right! Everyone should have a friend like Molly ;)

Everyone should have a friend like Molly, and I’m glad my best friend is like that! I also think that Roberta should be best friends with Molly instead. But then again, everyone should! xDDD So then, I guess she should be best friends with Cowabelle … but everyone has pros and cons!
Well, that’s a little minor problem solved right there! Hopefully they’ll all get solved by the time Christmas arrives! ;)
