Mystical Mouse Contest Winners

Congratulations to Kendall, Emily, Megan, Mollie and Kate! They’ve each been sent a Secret Code for an eStore exclusive Mystical Mouse! We wanted to hear about the Mystical Mouse’s first disastrous show — read the winning entries below.

Minerva the Magnificent had practiced for ages to get ready for her first magic show. She had loads of tricks up her sleeve and was ready to mystify the audience. She walked out on stage and started the show. She began with a simple trick, pulling a rabbit out of a hat. She reached up… oh no! Her hat was in her dressing room. Her cheeks burned, but she continued with the show. It all went downhill from there. She messed up her card tricks, couldn’t change her wand into a bouquet of flowers, and even though her assistant disappeared on cue, she didn’t reappear until five minutes later. Minerva ended her show by tripping on her cape. The crowd still cheered for her, even though her show was a disaster. She kept practicing, and is now one of the most talented magicians in Kinzville! Without that first disastrous show, Minerva wouldn’t have tried nearly as hard to become a great magician. “Practice makes perfect, and it’s OK to make mistakes!” says Minerva. - Kendall

Everyone knows that the Mystical Mouse is one marvelous magician, but it took hard work and a few mishaps to get to where he is now! When Mouse was just learning how to do magic, he decided to put on a show for his neighborhood. He asked a few close friends to volunteer and help make his show fantastic! His first few tricks went smoothly, then it was time for his grand finale: pulling a rabbit out of a hat! “Prepare to be amazed,” he told his audience. He put his paw into his hat, but felt nothing. Panicked, he looked around. His friend Floppy Eared Bunny had agreed to appear out of the hat, but she wasn’t there! He peered out into the silent audience hoping no one noticed his mistake- and there she was! She realized what was going on and quickly scampered onto the stage. “Here I am” she yelled. “Ta-da!” The audience looked a little puzzled, but started clapping anyway. Mouse and Bunny took a bow, giggling. To this day, Mouse still won’t pull a rabbit out of his hat. - Emily

One day Macy the Mystical Mouse was excited to learn that she was chosen to perform her magic show for the Kinzville Academy! But things didn’t go as planned. First of all, when Macy was trying to pull a dove out of her sleeve, it wasn’t there! Her little brother Mark had sneaked backstage and let the dove go. Next, Macy was going to pull a rabbit out of her hat when her hat fell off and the rabbit jumped across the stage! Everyone in the audience was laughing like crazy. For her grand finale, Macy was going to juggle eggs and have them disappear. However, she was so flustered by her earlier mistakes that she dropped every single one of the eggs all over herself and forgot the part of making the eggs disappear. After the show, everyone was joking about the show being “egg-cellent.” Macy was so upset that she sat down and cried. Ms. Cowoline found her backstage and told her that everyone makes mistakes and that she had to learn from them. So Macy learned a good lesson that day. - Megan

The Mystical Mouse’s first show was such a disaster. For his first magic act, he tried to pull a rabbit out of his hat, but when he said, “ABRA CADABRA!!” he yanked out a piece of rope, and the audience laughed. Then, they heard thunder, and a million pies fell right out of the sky! Later, for the closing act, the Mouse needed an assistant. Out of the crowd, he picked the KinzStyle Outlet’s employee, PJ, to help him. He told PJ that she needed to throw his wand into the sky, and then yell “POOF,” and then catch the wand , which will then turn into a batch of flowers! When PJ followed Mystical Mouse’s directions, she caught the wand, and then the wand turned into a double – layered chocolate cake, and before she knew it , PJ was wearing a Chicken Suit!! After the show, Mystical Mouse practiced all that day and night to get better by the time of his next show. When the time came for his second show, he got better, and, sooner or later, he became the BEST magician in Webkinz World. – Mollie

It was the opening night for the Fantastic Mystical Mouse. He was very excited to get on stage, so excited that he tripped walking on to the stage. Some of the kids started laughing, but he didn’t really care. He walked up and took off his hat, he was expecting to pull out a piece of cheese, but instead came out a mouse trap! “Ouch!” yelped mystical mouse. His fingers started to turn a tomato red, and they stung a lot. “This isn’t turning out very well.” he thought. “I’ll have to do my best trick to get the crowd back!” He gets a block of cheese and his wand, he yells,”Abra-kadabra, alakazam!” The cheese was supposed to turn into a rabbit, but it didn’t work. He hung his head low, but when he looked up, everyone’s head was a rabbit head! He took off running so he could be away from everybody, but he knew he couldn’t. Luckily, everyone’s head went back to normal after a few hours.He did go on stage again, but he would never forget the day, everything backfired. – Kate
