Pink Grapefruit Sorbet

This is one sweet way to enjoy grapefruit!

What you need:

-          Juice from 4 large red grapefruits.

-          1 Tablespoon grated grapefruit rind

-          ¾ cup granulated sugar

-          ¾ cup water

-          An adult assistant

What you do:

Combine sugar, water and grated grapefruit rind in a pot. Bring to a boil and boil for 5 minutes at medium heat. Strain into a shallow dish, add juice and freeze for three hours. Remove from freezer and puree in a blender. Transfer to an airtight container and freeze overnight.

This pink dessert is cool and refreshing!

    I love pink, I love sorbet, but I don’t love grapefruit. Way too sour and bitter. But maybe with sugar this might taste good!

    Sweet. Not a fan of the pink, but it’s ok I guess… With ice cream it would be gone soon with me around :D Gabriella, its breast cancer month. They have some October things, but I guess they could have more!

      im not a fan of pink either (i LOVE green) but still it does look really good tho. how can u make sorbet tho out of sugar water and grapefruit juice?????oh well…..

    I think there is a step missing. They don’t tell you what to do with the grapefruit juice; just the water, sugar, and grapefruit RIND.
