Dear Cousin Ruby,
You’ll NEVER believe what I found out today – something TERRIBLE happened to my bridesmaids’ dresses. Know how they’re supposed to be a lovely light pink? Well, it turns out that someone left them in the dye too long. And now? They’re NEON pink! I can’t believe it. Persephone must have apologized a hundred times. It wasn’t her fault, of course. Just a mistake one of her assistants made. But…oh, Ruby. I don’t know what I’m going to do if Persephone can’t make new dresses in time for the wedding! I suppose worse things could happen…but hopefully they won’t!
I promise to do my best to make sure you’re not wearing neon pink to my wedding.

Um, actually that is the trend now. I saw a wedding party with the brightest orange and yellow (not a florescent yellow though) and I liked it.
Oh Plumpy I am so sorry but neon sure would brighten up the place a little bit and maybe she could wear a neon pink belt or sash and sir rihnolt could wear a neon pink tie and you could have nibbles put a neon pink streak in her hair
Plumpy, I have an idea! If you can’t get new dresses, then change the color of the wedding! Instead of pale pink, make everything that was supposed to be pale pink, neon pink. Even if you have to put neon pink on some fake flowers, then do it! Good Luck!
Oh, that’s not good. Neon pink… I do like the colour myself, but for a wedding? I don’t know… hopefully Persephone can get you some new dresses in time. The wedding is coming up fast… I have to keep reminding myself that it’s not very far away anymore! Same with my grade 8 graduation… and my brother’s birthday… AARGH!!! Everything is sneaking up on me! Ahem. Sorry for the outburst. Anyway Plumpy, I hope your wedding goes well, even if the bridesmaids will be wearing neon pink dresses. Besides, it doesn’t matter where you are, what you’re wearing, or what you look like – as long as you love who you’re getting married too.

Don’t panic, Plumpy! Something goes wrong with every wedding that has ever been, but people get married just the same. I agree with your color choice over neon pink, but I am confident that you & Persephone will find a way to fix the disaster. And, sometimes a mistake like this leads to a good result!
