Plumpy’s Wedding: Cake Design

Hey everyone! Can you believe my wedding is only 16 days away! It’s true! And since my dear friend Chef Sophia is in charge of the cake, it was high time for Charles and I to visit her and see about flavors and designs!

Fortunately for us, Chef Sophia had brought along a ton of samples. We tried a little bit of everything, but out absolute favorite was chocolate cake with Stubbly Grass Nibble ganache and a delicate maple buttercream. It sounds a bit wacky, but the flavors work together perfectly!

After picking the flavor, we had to choose a design. I don’t know about you, but I’ve never really thought about what a cake LOOKS like before. I’m all about the taste!  But Sophia sketched out a bunch of pictures and said I could take them home and think about them.

So I’ve narrowed my options down to these four. I’d love your opinion! Let me know which one you like the best!

I like options B and D – B because it looks like cakes I have seen at weddings and D because I like cupcakes and my friend’s mom makes cupcakes and stacks them in interesting ways. Good luck, Plumpy! Whatever you choose will be great! All the best! MDIChickadee P.S. Plumpy – I like chocolate cake and think I would like maple buttercream frosting, but I am not certain about that other thing … but maybe it is something people in Kinzville will like!

    I <3 option c! So classy!

Hard choice. B is shiny and sophisticated, while C is probably my overall favorite for its polka dots and bow. Still, B is the more appropriate for the wedding. You can’t really go wrong with A either, but B and C are my favorites. The cupcakes are cute, but you just can’t replace a traditional tiered wedding cake.

honestly my fav is the option C. but maybe if you can’t decide, you can mush everything into one cake! maybe!

i love c but d is so cute, they are made specially for the bride and groom, b is elegant and a is traditional. My choice is d for the wedding and c for the reception!!!!!!!!!!

    option B

Option A. It’s decorative, but not over- decorated.

Option B would go nicely with their dresses, and it’s very pretty. Chocolate Oreo cake would be awesome, but since it’s got brown chocolate icing, not good for a wedding, despite it’s chocolatey deliciousness. ~~O~~SapphireSea~*~*~
