Polly’s Party

Hey, it’s me, Polly. I don’t usually tell people this, but did you know that today is my birthday? I don’t really make a big fuss about it because I feel kind of shy when I’m the center of attention so I’ve always kept my birthday a secret.

But a little while ago my mom let it slip to Molly. At first I was really worried that she was going to try and throw some party for me, but then I saw her earlier today and she didn’t even wish me a happy birthday! Suddenly I started thinking that maybe it wasn’t such a bad thing to have people know about your birthday because I really thought that Molly would remember and when she didn’t I almost felt like I was going to cry.

But then guess what? Roberta called me and said that I had to come over to her new house because she wanted me to help her decide which craft room design she should go with (Hailey and Elwin have been decorating her house). I was feeling kind of down after Molly forgot my birthday so I thought a visit with Roberta might cheer me up.

Well, I got to Roberta’s house and we went to her new rec room and suddenly all of my friends jumped out and yelled, “SURPRISE!” Molly hadn’t forgotten at all! She’d got all my friends together to plan this big party for me!

You should have seen the cake – it was a panda face! And they also made these cute paw print cupcakes which is so funny because when I saw Molly and Nibbles earlier they told me that the cupcakes were for Roberta’s mom’s baby shower (which was weird because they didn’t look like rabbit paw prints at all!)

I had so much fun! It didn’t even feel weird being the center of attention because as soon as they surprised me they all started talking at once about all their planning and they were too busy interrupting each other to put me on the spot. I could barely get a word in edgewise!

What a great day and what great friends I have!
