Roberta’s Homework Woes

Hey Friends,

I was hoping maybe you could give me some advice…I’m having some trouble. The trouble is this: I know there’s a play coming up and I really want a part, so I’ve been practicing my singing, dancing and acting.  I’ve also been at the Adventure Park a TON and I’ve been playing this new video game I got…and I also have ‘Kinz Crew meetings and piano lessons. So my schedule is full, to say the least.

Oh! And I had to go to see my grandma and then we visited my cousins and went out to dinner.

And that’s why I didn’t do my homework this weekend. Or study for my tests last week.

Me, Roberta Rabbit. Not studying. Not doing homework. I’ve never gotten below a C before…and I just got two F’s and a D. I just didn’t have time to prepare. Plus, there was, like, five pages of homework to do and two quizzes. WAAAY too much for one (very busy) rabbit.

So Ms. Cowoline AND my teacher, Miss Daisy, are pretty upset. And not only that, my teacher said she might call my mom. EEP! My mom will be SO mad.  I don’t even want to consider what my dad will say. Ugh. And there’s more tonight, (like a project I’m working on with Cowabelle) but I have so much going on. Maybe I can get it done tomorrow on the way to school – or I’ll get up super-early. That’s a solution.

What am I doing wrong ‘Kinz friends? I’ve never failed anything before.

  2. kiami says:

ouch!!!!!! I would cancel things and catch up

  3. Bailey says:

I use my study halls and always do my homework BEFORE I do fun stuff. That way I get it out of the way and have the rest of the evening to myself!

  4. molly says:

i think roberta should quit a few of her classes to fit shool in an visit her cousin an grama on weekends

  5. krystalkat says:

i do all my homework in school maybe roberta should try that too.

  6. CatGirl81 says:

I used to think I was like Roberta because I’m not good at sports, but I’m very good in school, so I guess not. I’m also not too busy usually, so I get all my homework done.

11:30, seaweed? If you’re only in middle school, what grade are you in? (I don’t know middle school-it’s not where I live.) I’m in grade 8 and don’t get NEARLY that much homework yet… I mean, I’ve had a history, geography, french, and a few math assignments, but they’re small and I can get them done in around an hour. Wow! LOTS OF HOMEWORK!

  8. seaweed says:

ugh. Stayed up til 11:30 last night doing homework…. this is what middle school does to you. And, Roberta, Do work first then reward yourself with the video game. Works for me.
    SEAWEED

  9. Topaz Princess says:

Ok, so consider. Less video games, less adenture park. make it a “game” with yourself. Let’s say, if you get your school work done fast, (but thouroughly) reward your self with time at adventure park and video games. also tell cowebelle that you have school. she’ll understand. maybe SHE might even have problems with homework.

    • krystalkat says:

you need to cut the video games and study any time you have time off. i know you will get the part.

    • GooberFan says:

Totally agree, a reward at the end of a intense study period is a great incentive, the kinz crew will understand that you can’t see them everyday after school, surely they must have homework too. But remember to take short 5 minute breaks every hour or so, don’t stay in one position too long, your muscles all over will start to hurt, maybe that’s the time to practice the dancing and singing? Definetly tell Cowbelle, or even draw up a rota of the work you have to do, and stick it on the fridge, she may even help you work out the best way to tackle it!

      • GooberFan says:

forgot to say, my mum used to make lists of the homework my brother needed to do, with the date they were due, so he could see at glance on his wall, he has an excellent homework record, because he has carried on using that method especially for his exams & he still has time for his video games.

  10. anewy says:

i think you already know the answer – you need to cut out adventure park and video games!

    • Heatherstem says:

Wait a minute, wait a MINUTE!! Do we want Roberta, the awesome rabbit ‘kinz, to become… well… BOOGER?!?! Keep some adventure park time, but only video games and some adventure park when your done. Definitely exercise. Don’t want another ‘my shirt won’t fit’ artical (I KNOW I spelled that wrong). Geez, that grossed me out.

        • lillyluvie says:

too. I am going to audition for my schools play this fall!! ;)
          *Luv from LillyLuvie*

          • Oh my gosh says:

Northwestern here. I got my homework done tonight. And I went to open house, and took a shower, so, I can’t see why Roberta couldn’t do it

School is busy for me as well! in addition to normal school i have Latin, piano, soccer, flute, theater, debate, and more! It takes a TON of work to get everthing done! I can totally relate to roberta!

Hey, lay it off Roberta guys. I am sure you get this problem, too. I am very busy with my online academy, and the best way to get organized is a schedule. It helps a lot. Make sure everything is checked off for the day before you play games and things like that. Mark down quizzes and study ahead of time.

        • harrypotterrocks says:

Well, you could save the games and adventure park for when you finish your homework. School work, then fun. And even better . . . you’ll have a reason to finish your homework and to study!!!! GAMES AND ADVENTURE PARK!!!
          HIH (hope I helped)

          Yours truly,
          ~harrypotterrocks~

    • FireWolves says:

Well On The Drive To Roberta’s Grandma’s She Could Do Homework,
No Adventure Park And Video Games UNTIL ALL HOMEWORK IS DONE
That’s What I Do, From Up There

      • Josie!!! says:

Yup. Unfortunately, Roberta, you’re a middle schooler and that’s just life. You’re going to have to have homework, and you should probably do it before you do anything else. Sorry, that means you probably will only have time to play video games on the weekend. Wow, this really is realistic.

        • tarmi says:

Yes it is just life and sometimes in life you dont get what always get what you want in life and you just have to live with it or stop playing video games and stop playing in adventure park and sometimes you dont get want you want and if you dont want to stop playing or doing those things then dont do the play

        • vivian says:

ya i don’t play video games much any more and i am in 8th grade but i do think she could study some and take a break sometimes to go out side if she has other activities study for a little bit of extra time before doing that i study for just a little while at a time so i don’t get washed out and can’t think right that is how it works best for me :)
          *VIV*

      • Gameboy says:

lol. Since when did Roberta play video games. :roll Well is not all about the video games. She has a meetin, paino lessons, she had to go to her grandmothers, a play, and the video game and the adventure park. I feel SO BAD FOR HER. She should cut off the video game, adventure park, and maybe the crew meeting.

        • Gameboy says:

Life is gonna get hard, Roberta. Fifth Grade (I spelled it wrong, :roll lol) Middle school is when it all starts. Especially Detention. You gotta get ready or you may get in REALLY BAD trouble. Life is hard. Starting like at 4th grade you start to experience things like this.

    • Katie says:

      Roberta?! C ?! two F’s ?! And a D ?!?!?! Roberta, come on. You can do better than that :( . I know you can :) ~Katie~

    • hahalolol says:

Ok, I am an all-A student, and personally, I am REALLY upset when I get a bad grade. Shame on you Roberta! /you should have studied more!!! I’m SO not surprised they might call your mom. They should.

      • silverlvr says:

Same here! Roberta, you should have started on your homework before you had fun. I would do most of your homework, take like a ten min break, and then finish it. If you still have a couple hours before bed, maybe take like a half hour break to play, like those video games, the adventure park, and your meeting. Then study until you need to go to bed, and maybe a little right before class, and when you have free time and/or at recess/lunch.

      • sarahandlacey says:

You are so right Heatherstem! ;-)

    • Work says:

I agree. Also, if this was a me, I think I think I would get up earlier and work on it on the bus. (I spend a LOT of time on one.)

    • balloonmist says:

like anewy said-cut adventure park and videogames
