Guess what, everyone? Today was my mom’s baby shower and it was SO much fun! We played games, we ate delicious treats (we had the whole thing catered by La Soufflé) and my mom got a TON of cute gifts. You should see some of the baby clothes! They’re SO tiny. She got mostly green and yellow things, because we don’t know if it’s a boy or a girl. My aunt (my mom’s sister) thinks it’s DEFINITELY a girl, but I don’t know. I keep switching between boy and girl! What I DO know is that my mom said in about a month or so the baby will be here, so we have to be ready for him or her. What does that mean? Well, she said we should pick up a few more baby clothes, some diapers, a baby bathtub and a few other things. We’re going to go to the store after school gets out for the summer. I can’t wait!
If you guys could tell me one thing about taking care of babies (something that would help me be a better big sister), what would it be?
Make sure you have a lot of patient. Remember they’re a baby, and all they want is lots of love. Things take time and it will get better as they get older. The best thing you can give to a newborn baby is love and wisdom. Good luck!
Give her so much love and also help your mom with the baby. :)
just be kind and never hurt his/hers feelings or you might really regret it foreves my point IS just: be careful what you say to them and be a good role model!!!!!!!!!!!!!
no ads are showing up which means nothing to click on/no prizes. its here, the parent club, & trying to log into webkinz gives you an exclamation mark where your info should be. please help. google, firefox, all the same.
I would just help your mom with the baby and just be happy with it! it’s going to be fun Roberta! [i hope it's a boy too! ]>>j3gnight2011<< **cathouse2**
hi the best advice is to be a good romodel i have 5 other siblings and i have to be a good role model and be kind and be good and listen to your parents that’s my advice
I rock my littlest sister, and sing lullabyes 2 her :)
i hope its a girl…
Oh Roberta, just shower the little one with love and read to her/him. It doesn’t matter that they don’t understand what your saying, it’s the sound of your voice and that their being held. So if you have a summer reading list, sit down, in a rocker is great, with the baby on your lap and read out loud. You’ll be helping your mom, entertaining the baby and honing your reading skills. jennifer
Babies also love it when you sing to them!!! Reading is great too, but as jennifer said, they love to hear the sound of your voice, as long as it is not a screaming, yelling voice! So even just randomly talking to the baby is a great thing to do!
Babies like a lot of attention. Just talk to the baby and make him or her happy. Help buy not looking for too much attention for yourself and getting thing for mommy to give to the baby.
