November has never been my favorite month. I really like October, I totally love December – but November is just kind of an obstacle between Halloween and Christmas.
So that’s where I got my brilliant idea to make November exciting. I suggested having some kind of event and the rest of the council (Stoogles and Purr-Cilla) thought it was a totally great idea (OK, so Purr-Cilla didn’t say ‘totally great’, but I know that deep down she’s on board).
We talked about several options. Here’s what we came up with:
Bake sale (Purr-Cilla said, “We just did this. We’re probably going to have one before Christmas. What is it with you and bake sales?” I like brownies, OK? Sheesh.)
Craft Show (Stoogles was against this one. “What am I going to do at a craft sale? Buy a teapot cozy? A pinecone with eyeballs?” Wow. Everyone’s a critic.)
Fall Fair (no one really had anything bad to say about this idea. Because it’s AWESOME!)
Field trip to the Henrietta Hippo Theater of the Performing Arts (Another popular option – who doesn’t like a field trip?)
Talent Show (this was suggested by Stoogles – I think he just wants to show off his dancing skills. But I pointed out that we do this at the END of the school year. He said that some Webkinz were talented enough for two shows.)
Book Fair (this was also a popular option. Well, with Stoogles and I. Purr-Cilla said that no book fairs are boring.)
Rummage Sale (again, Purr-Cilla was against this one. Her exact words? “No one wants to buy your old junk.”)
We’re all going to think about the options tonight and see which one sounds best to us. We’re reconvening tomorrow, so we’ll see what everyone wants to do!
I wonder what would have happened if Sallie had suggested something be done, and asked for suggestions on what to do? Perhaps a food drive for Thanksgiving (to help a food bank) might be fun, too. And would heighten awareness of the needs of people in Kinzville who may need help at times … Whatever is planned, Ms. Cowoline is going to have to approve it, so taking class time (if they are still behind) might not be welcomed, and that issue needs addressing BEFORE an idea is given to her for consideration. Good luck, Sallie and Crew!

I love your idea of a food drive. There is so much need all over. Just watched a news story about a high school club who went out collecting food on Halloween…they got to wear costumes and have fun together and they collected 2000 pounds of food. Sounds like a great idea for people who are “too old” for trick or treating but who still like to dress up!

I write books/read so defiantly the book fair!
Anyway, defiantly the book fair.

I LLLOOOOOVVVVVEEEE books!!! A rummage sale is awesome too! I use trash to make art
how can she not like november i love it my birthday is in 16 days! and between halloween and christmas is thanksgiving! doesnt she like that? its where you get off of school for a couple days and you get to eat food and your family is there! and i do something special on thanksgiving i get up at like five in the morning and do a fun run called the turkey trot!
Those are some great ideas, but I think the best would be the Fall Fair, Book Fair, or the Field Trip to the Theater ;)
I love the idea of a fall fair (with a craft show, rummage sale, and books–hey, you could find some really good holiday gifts, too!) I also think it would be great to have a Webkinz World rummage sale where we could buy and sell items. Could be a fun way to find that last piece of a clothing outfit or declutter your “storage room.”
I like book sales! Mostly cuz i love reading and writing books! I think the rummage sale would be awesome! One mans trash is another mans treasure they say, and it’s true, a rumage sale is also a great way to get stuff you wanted that was too expensive, or get some things out of the house, i wish we could participate in this on webkinz world, that would be fun!
I think fall fair is cool. What is it going to have, though? Maybe you could have a carnival.
I think they should vote. I like all of their answers and they don’t have to argue about them.
aw i feel sorry for you sally, i mean i agree with (most) of their answers but still they didn’t have to be so rude. i think fall fair is a great idea! a lot of people do those and it is so fun! i can’t believe y’all don’t have one yet! a fall fair is a must!!
This is really cool! I love all the ideas!
A fall fair would really be fun! (And Salley, I understand how much you like brownies because I’m the same way!)

They should have a Talent Show! I have never had a Talent Show at my old school, or my new school. At least, not yet. ;) I hope there is one! But what I do know: There is a singing contest!
*Luv from LillyLuvie*
Pssh guys, November fun because of nanowrimo!!
That’s cool. Every year my school has a bake sell (I love to bake so I always participate), craft show (again I always participate), field trips, and book fairs. We also have an art contest to see who will win the picture for the best agenda cover. I got second place and my friend got first and won . At first I was kinda jealous but then I congratulated her and was happy for her. She drew the toucan in the tree and I drew a waterfall in the forest. :D ♥♥♥~krystalkat~♥♥♥
i love art contests (because i love art) at my elementary school every year we had a contest for the frount of that year’s yearbook. on the the back was the person who got first in all the other grades (because a sixth grader always won.)
I think that Salley, Stoogles, and Purr-Cilla should deside between a fall fair, and the field trip. Those options seem more reasonable and original. :)
I like the field trip and the fall fair idea! I love fall fairs, they’re so fun! But the field trip would be cool too. They’re a nice way to mostly take a break from school.

I think a fall fair, totally! It’ll be so fun!!! :D
