The silkie chicken had no feathers when he/she was born. His hole family said that he was the ugliest chicken ever!!! So one day he/she decided to run away from his/her family. He ran and ran, until he got to a beautiful farmers house and saw few chicks just like him. So he stayed there for nights. Until one, he/she heard a chick say to the other, “Hey, I know how to get feathers!!”one of them said. “How?” said another. “Follow me!” the first chick whispered. So they set off with silkie chicken behind them. Finally they arrived to a well full of white silkie feathers. The first chick added a with liquid stuff to it on the bottle it said “SUPER GLUE”. All the small chicks jumped into the mixture and the silkie chicken behind them was running so fast that he/she tripped on a rock and fell into the mixture. When he/she came out of it he was filled with silkie feathers, he knew it was time to go home and to show off his/her beautiful silkie feathers.
And that was how silkie chicken got his/her silkie feathers.

The Silkie (sometimes spelled Silky) is a breed of chicken named for its atypically fluffy plumage, which is said to feel like silk. The breed has several other unusual qualities, such as dark blue flesh and bones, blue earlobes, and five toes on each foot (most chickens only have four). They are often exhibited in poultry shows, and come in several colors (red, buff, blue, black, white, and partridge).
In addition to their distinctive physical characteristics, Silkies are well known for their calm, friendly temperament. Among the most docile of poultry, Silkies are considered an ideal pet. Hens are also exceptionally broody, and make good mothers. Though they are fair layers themselves, only laying about three eggs a week, they are commonly used to hatch eggs from other breeds and bird species.
Silkies most likely originated in China, but Southeast Asia is also sometimes proposed. The first written account of the breed comes from Marco Polo, who mentioned chickens with fur-like plumage in his Asian travelogues in the 13th century. The Renaissance author Ulisse Aldrovandi also spoke of chickens akin to Silkies. Today, the breed is recognized for exhibition, and is fairly common in the poultry world.
