Star fruit chips

What you need:

-          2 star-fruits

-          2 cups sugar

-          2 cups water

-          Parchment paper or non-stick baking sheet liners

You will need an adult assistant to help you with this recipe.

What you do:

Thinly slice your star-fruits crosswise. Bring water to a boil and add sugar, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Add star-fruit, remove from heat and let stand for about 15 minutes. Strain (you can reserve the syrup in the fridge – it’s great on ice cream!) and let star-fruit drain in sieve for about 15 minutes.

Preheat oven to 200°. Put parchment or a non-stick liner on a cookie sheet and arrange star-fruit slices in one layer. Bake for 1 ¼  hours. Transfer chips to a cooling rack.

To store your out-of-this-world chips, when they’re cool place them in a container layered between sheets of parchment so they don’t stick to each other. They will keep in an airtight container at room temperature for one week.

It’s sour, like a kiwi minus the sweetness. I like it, but I don’t get to have it very often

Starfruit is really tart and tangy and sour. i love it! i’m pretty sure the lighter it is the more sour and the deeper in colour the sweeter it is. i forget though, i haven’t had starfruit in a while. it tastes like starfruit lol, i know i hate it when people do that to me to. i love to cook so i’m going to try that recipe. does anyone know how to submit crafts and recipes onto webkinz news?
