It’s me, Cowabelle. Today was our Thanksgiving Pageant at school and I wish I could say that my star turn went off without a hitch but I can’t. Fortunately, thanks to my best friend, Roberta, things could have turned out a lot worse.
I think I got so caught up in being the star of the show that I let it go to my head a bit. I know I wasn’t being as considerate of Roberta as I should. I thought she should just grow up and stop complaining about having to be a tree. I mean – not everyone can be the star, right?
But maybe I should have focused more on learning my lines than being a star, because today when I was up on stage, I completely forgot my lines and froze! It was horrible – I didn’t know what to do!
Luckily I happen to have the best friend ever because suddenly the tree next to me started whispering my lines to me! Roberta was there beside me to save the day! I guess that while she was standing around ‘treeing’, she had nothing better to do than memorize the play. And even though I’ve been kind of full of myself and she’s had such a small role, she wasn’t about to stand by and let me fail.
After the play Ms. Stripes congratulated Roberta for saving the day and said that she knew that Roberta was just the one to handle an important role next time.
Afterward I told Roberta that even though she might not want to hear it, I thought she made a perfect tree. When she asked my why I told it was because she was always there for me to lean on!
You saved the day AND the play Roberta! Good job! >>cathouse2
Good job Roberta!!!
Wow. That is friendship. I’m happy Roberta got a chance to save the play and Cowabelle got to learn an important lesson. Their friendship will get stronger because of this I hope.
About the article, good job Roberta, and try harder next time, Cowabelle.~~~
That’s wonderful of you Roberta, you’re so nice! Especially since Cowabelle’s been so rude lately! ~CC~
That is why you shouldn’t be too full of yourself Cowabelle! Roberta won’t always be a tree. You won’t always be able to lean on her! ♥

It took a lot of love for you to admit that, Cowabelle. You really were the star of the show. Best friends are always there for each other to lean on. jennifer
Sounds like you learned a valuable lesson. Stage fright is common, so it’s important to practice your lines a lot. That way, if you freeze, you have all that repetition stored inside your head. Roberta saved the day. I’m glad you told her how thankful you are for a friend like her.
you were right cowabelle, you should’ve learned your lines! i don’t get it; how did this happen? you guys practiced, right? didn’t you have practices all together in costume?
LOL Cowabelle! What a corny joke! Anyway, make sure u really thank Roberta. She really saved you! BlackCharmander537
Great save Roberta! ~(*)sparklegirlLT(*)
LOL cheesy, but great! That’s awesome of you Roberta! ~*Star Shine*~
You are lucky to have such a great friend Cowabelle. I hope you don’t take her for granted and hopefully you learned from this. Glad it worked out! ~DP
Yeah, you’d think she’d remember some of them, but yeah. But whispering lines in her ear? Nice sentiment, but poor theatre form. Not what you’re supposed to do, just saying. But that was nice!
