Introduction:

The Kinzville forest is a fascinating place that holds many, many secrets. Most Webkinz have never ventured further than the Adventure Park – but there is SO much more to see! The Kinzville forest is home to many different Zingoz and Singoz – in fact, that’s how you access the Distant Zingdom! I looked at so many maps at the Kinzville Academy library – and there are millions of acres of uncharted territory out there. It’s amazing – and it kind of makes me want to be an explorer!

History:
The Kinzville Forest has been around as long as Webkinz World. There are trees in there that are ancient. I interviewed Arte Fact, famed archaeologist (and Kinzville Forest expert), and he said that priceless treasure is fabled to be buried deep in the forest. Thanks to Arte, everyone knows about the Azure Zingoz’ treasure – but he said that it was just the tip of the iceberg. There’s so much more to discover! He said that some of the earliest pioneers in Kinzville lived in the forest, so it’s a great place to find artifacts. I decided to take a trip to the forest and see what I could find.

My Trip to the Forest:
I picked a place on the map – a giant rock – and I decided to walk there. I figured it would take me about an hour. Three hours later, and I arrived! Hiking through bushes and rocks and tree roots is much harder than walking on sidewalks.  When I got to the giant rock, I sat down for a rest. On the ground, I noticed something round and metal. It was a coin! But it was very, very old. I rubbed it on my shirt and polished it up a bit. I couldn’t believe my find! I took it back down to Arte and asked him how old the coin could be. I was thinking maybe two hundred or three hundred years! Arte said it was about forty years old – but that it was still a lucky find!

So, even though my discovery isn’t worth anything, I’m going to carry around that lucky coin – and maybe one day, I’ll return to the forest and find something REALLY valuable!

My cousins and I walked everywhere, and most of the time we were power walking. Still, after our efforts, NO WEBKINZ TREE FROG FOUND! Oh well, I don’t have school tommarrow either. Or Friday. My school system sure rocks November

          • starburst-plz read northwestern says:

hey northwestern, what did u mean by ‘tour book maker’?

          • Boston ROCKs...we went to town! says:

We went all over town looking, so we pretty much toured town. We’ve actually taken pics of every store that the store locator led us to, and we’re making a small book of our attempts. The title? “Tour for Tom!”

have u checked online for the frog? also, u could call stores instead of spending time going from place to place. i have found some good ones in bookstores. hope u find Tom!

          • Northwestern...the story behind Tom says:

Aw thanks. I guess it’ll almost be like the first time when we do, only better hopefully. The real Tom the frog, was only with us for three weeks. My only good feeling about it is that I know he didn’t feel his pain afterward. Tom had been in a pond filled with motor oil. Hey, at least that’s one thing that he’ll never fear on webkinz when we get him! And occasionally, I’ll see a rainbow in the sky and think, “That’s my Tom smiling down on me!”

          • Narniaisawesome1412 (should I change my name???) says:

AW! That’s so sweet Northwestern! I love frogs too.

What or where do you think Zumwhere is–all adventure park as well as forest?
speaking of wild animals. about 6 weeks ago a Painted river turtle was just walking down our street–its belly shell was damaged from the heat of the blacktop. So we took the turtle sandbox (pun intended) and filled it with cool water. we researched and found it was female and they can travel 100 miles to lay its eggs.
Anyway herbetta hung out with us, walking around the yard, scaring the cats–it was over 13inches and took two hands to hold . we kept the water fresh and cool gave her zucchini–loved it. so her shell could heal-daily shedding of bottom shell–finally one huge last peice came off and she was gone the next day–I guess they are great escape artist. It had been about 3 to 4 weeks hanging out.
Ganz should make a western painted turtle–it had the most beautiful pattern–not just the shell but also the body. they could even fanasy it up, by changing the color palatte..
It was an amazing experience to watch a very fast turtle just hanging around the yard while it healed.
We need a reminder–it’s not endangered in fact TOP OF ITS FOOD CHAIN.
if you ever get a chance, you should research them. this one was huge-usually only 10 inches and they start off smaller than a quarter.
