Everyone has had a great time collecting Marshmallows this summer! Here are two terrific Marshmallow recipes you can make for yourself (or a friend)!
Marshmallow Pretzel Wands
What you need:
6 large marshmallows, ½ cup white chocolate chips, 6 large pretzel sticks, colored sugar or sprinkles, waxed paper, grown up assistant
What you do:
- Have your adult assistant help you melt the white chocolate chips (you can do this in the microwave. Just tell your adult assistant to check them every 15 seconds or so to see how they’re doing and give them a stir).
- Put a piece of waxed paper onto a plate or cookie sheet.
- Stick the pretzel stick into your large marshmallow.
- Dip the top of the marshmallow into the melted chocolate.
- Dip the melted chocolate covered marshmallow into the sprinkles.
- Put the marshmallow pretzel wands onto the waxed paper and wait for the chocolate to firm up.
Chocolate Bark
What you need:
1 cup chocolate chips, ¼ cup chopped almonds or peanuts (or shredded sweetened coconut, or rice cereal pieces or nothing at all!), ½ cup mini marshmallows, grown up assistant, bowl, waxed paper
What you do:
- Have your grown up assistant melt the chocolate chips for you.
- Have your grown up chop up the nuts for you, if you’re using nuts.
- Pour the chocolate onto the waxed paper. Make sure it’s about ½ an inch thick.
- Sprinkle the marshmallows and nuts (or coconut or puffed rice cereal) on top of your chocolate.
- Put the whole thing in the fridge.
- When the chocolate is hardened, break the ‘bark’ into pieces and share with friends!
