As you know, Winterfest will last from January 15th until January 23rd! When you hunt snowflakes in Webkinz World, you'll receive a random prize each time you click on a snowflake, but on Webkinz Newz it works a little differently!
Each day, a different prize will be available. All Webkinz World members can win one prize per account, per day.

How do you hunt for snowflakes?
On Webkinz Newz:
Each time you load a page, there's a chance that the snowflake will appear. The snowflake loads offscreen, so it may take a few moments (after the page has finished loading) for the snowflake to appear.
On Webkinz World:
Make sure your dock is visible while you're playing. This means you can play in places like your room, the Clubhouse or Quizzy's. If the dock isn't visible, the snowflakes won't appear. If your cursor is being used by a game (gardening, making a wish in the Wish Factory, etc), you won't be able to click on the snowflake. Every few minutes, there's a chance that a snowflake will appear.
where are they? i play for hours & get nothing. it’s just like xmas. got nothing there either after wasting hours in the clubhouse. pu!
I have all the prizes! They are so cool!
I still cannot get the snowflakes here! I clicked on one, then filled out the form but then after I hit “submit” a “page not found” message came up! I missed out on two snowflake prizes so far! Any ideas?

The Winterfest is usually always a fun time for everyone. You click snowflakes,and recieve prizes. I agree,that Ganz should fix this problem. I try to get snowflakes for my sibling, but they just aren’t flying! I go on for hours, and I only get two prizes. I don’t want to disappoint my sister,and I don’t want to frustrate myself!

I athink the ways we have to catch the snowflakes are not very fair, as most of the younger players are playing games that do not show the dock. I think the idea of a special item like the snownman, are okay for the Newz, but it takes so much time away from the games. I think the snowflakes could be just like the medals that fly around no matter which place you are in. Having the different items on special days is okay, but if you miss one of these days, it is like the Ms. Birdy problem all over again, with not getting all the items for that particular celebration. Going from place to place to find things take up much of their computer times and leads to disappointment for them. Also I notice that there are even more advertisements than before that are not related to webkinz. Too much on the ads as it is already. Perhaps less advertisments would prevent so many problems with loading and playing games. Just some thoughts.
No chestnuts are for your pet to eat. The snowflakes show up randomly and pumpkie10, the prizes are random on webkinz world not the news. the schedule is for the news not webkinz world. Hope I helped!
I usually love Winterfest but this year not so much. I remember in years past when there actually WAS snowflakes!! I’ve been on all morning and have only seen ONE snowflake – WHAT A RIP OFF!! If Webkinz really wants to make this fun – make the snowflakes FLY like they used to!!
