I really couldn’t get my mother anything so at school I asked my teacher what would she do, so she told me make her something at school so I wrote her 12 poems about how I love her and about mothers day and stuff

Mother’s day isn’t about gifts, it’s about cherishing your motherly figure and showing how much you love them. I think that handmade gifts are the best and shows how much thought you put into them. 1) breakfast in bed 2) a back massage 3) sing them a song 4) write a story or poem 5) draw a picture of them 6) a thoughtful card 7) doing their chores for the day 8) make them a nice dinner 9) pick a bouquet of flowers 10) or a simple “I love you”

Often times people give cliche things like flowers to their mothers on mothers day. Though those are nice and often appreciated, they quickly wilt and aren’t very creative. On mothers day it’s nice to show your mothers that their hard work parenting you payed off. You could sing a song to them, dance, whatever a talent of yours may be. Cakes are a bit more creative, and yummy for the whole family. Write them a poem, a take of your typical card. Create a large basket filled with all her favorite things. And I’d bet you she likes chocolate. You can’t go wrong with a nice box of those. Make a collage of photos so she can remember all the fun family vacations and take time to reflect ho much you’ve grown up. Do the dishes for her – or any other chore you don’t normally do. She’ll appreciate it more then you think! Instead of just writing a card, how about you write a list of all the reasons you love her and frame it? And most of all…take time to give her a hug and just say thanks…She deserves it.
