I would really love to enter this contest. It would be great to win the POTM, but I can’t enter. Every time I enter one of the contests, I will type in the answer for the math question, and no matter what, it always says it’s wrong. The answer I typed in was correct (8×6-5+9 is 34, but it says it’s “incorrect” every time!) but it said it wasn’t right. So, I tried it again and it said something like “We’re sorry, you already entered this contest with a wrong answer”. Does this mean that if I supposedly got the answer “wrong”, I can’t enter again, even if I typed in the right answer the next time? I don’t understand. Same thing happened with the last contest. It’s sad since I’d love to win this kangaroo. What am I doing wrong?! :(
The problem was 8×6-5+9=34? If I’m doing the math right, it doesn’t equal that. According to the order of operations (parentheses, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction in that order), the answer would be 52 since 8×6=48, 48+9=57, and 57-5=52. However, it’s been a while since I did that kind of math so I could be wrong.
I think I see your problem. You did the math incorrectly. The correct answer is supposed to be 52. And you can’t enter it again once you’ve done the math incorrectly. If you have another account you could try it on that one, but otherwise you can’t reenter it. So sorry! ~webkinzlove2207~

Unfortunately, I don’t have another account, so I can’t reenter (although I find it kind of dumb that you can’t re-try even if you made a mistake once, but that’s just my opinion). :P Also, looks like I did do the math wrong. Here’s what I did: 8×6= 48, 5+9= 14, 48-14= 34. I should’ve known that wasn’t the way to use the order of operations, considering I take an algebra class! *slaps forehead* Well, at least I know that I made a mistake.
