Now, I do remember PrettyPikachu joining at one point (I think it was before he computer acted up), but she only ever replied once quite a few round ago, so I’m assuming she’s no longer in it?

(Oh man, I’m so sorry for the late response, guys! XP I promise I’ll respond to this faster next time! Also, ilovemoonie, I hope you don’t mind if I don’t have Pikachu carry on his conversation with Olaf at the moment (I read what Olaf said though, and it was really funny! A lot of “lucky” things seem to happen to him, eh? XD He’s such a great character of yours! ;) )! I really want to, but I feel like it would be a little hard to go “back in time” that far with the whole fire thing going on… I hope that’s okay with you! >.< )

He didn’t want to come off as ‘rude’, but this Lightning guy was really starting to get to him. ~~~ “No problem!”, said Dash with a smile, “It’s pretty fun playing tag with you… you’re a good opponent!” He then crouched down, trying to get in his pre-running position, when he heard Chase say something. “What?”, asked the young fox, “I couldn’t hear ya… did you say something about a fire?” Dash looked at his friend, and could see obvious fear on his face… which is something he had never seen till now. He then slowly turned around, just in time to see thick smoke rise from Pikachu’s grill. “Oh gosh, there IS a fire!”, shouted Dash, “What should we do?!?” However, before he could get an answer from Chase, Dash saw his pal run over to his older snow leopard friend, Tanner. He gulped, his throat feeling rather dry, and started to back away. “Oh uh, y-yeah… fire can be, uh, pretty destructive if it gets caught on your clothes…”, said Dash in response…

~~~ “Th-thank you again”, said Tall Shadow with a small smile, “It’s c-cool that y-you were able to c-come. Oh and um… w-well…” The snow leopard paused, trying to think of what to say. Lightning did bother her (well, really, he bothers her every time they see each other), but she wasn’t quite sure if she wanted to admit it or not. However, before she could even speak, Fallen Leaves said, “Well, he was being a bit bothersome to her. I could tell because Tall began to tense up. And uh, I guess the same goes for me, too. He was somewhat irritating, in a sense… I don’t think he was very fond of my presence.” He then looked down, still a bit amused that the small alley cat, Tim, was wrapped around Steve’s leg, but then jerked his up when he heard Bucky mention the smell of burning food. “You know, now that you say it, it certainly does smell like smoke…”, replied the cougar, who began to sniff the air. Immediately, his whiskers twitched in disgust… -

Tall Shadow saw it, too, and her brown eyes grew wide with terror. “Oh no, w-we’d better g-get out of here in case it s-spreads!”, she exclaimed. Fallen Leaves nodded, and he grabbed Tall Shadow’s paw. The two wild cats quickly got out of their chairs and made their way to safer ground, farther back in Pikachu’s yard.
~~~ Nikko, who was perched comfortably on a branch, soaking in the rays of the bright, warm sun, was suddenly interrupted when he heard screaming from down below. The startled canary took flight and narrowed his eyes at the scene below. He made out the shape of Pikachu, and several of his friends who were running away from the scene… along with a large, dark gray plume of smoke.

I wasn’t gone for that long… b-but, when I came back, the burgers were smoking!” “Don’t you know that you should never leave food unattended when you’re cooking it on a grill like that?! Agh, whatever. Just put it out! I’m pretty sure there’s a fire exting-” “-OH, great idea, Nikko! I know exactly what this needs!”, exclaimed Pikachu. He ran over to the side of his house, not before he responded to some concerned friends, though. “Oh, thanks for the offers, Steve and White, but everything is under control! I know exactly what to do!”, he said, taking a quick look at the terrier and the domino cat. He then grabbed a large bucket of water that was along the side of his house, and ran towards…

~6~ … the fire. The canary gasped, and yelled out, “No, don’t-” But, before he could finish, Pikachu dumped the water on top of the grill, and the fire went out. “Woohoo, I did it! The fire’s out, guys! We’re safe!”, he called out, with a wag of his fluffy tail and a smile on his face. “Pikachu… you know that that was a grease fire, right?”, asked Nikko with obvious concern in his voice. “A grease fire? Uh… what’s that?” “Well, let’s just say that putting water on a grease fire makes things worse.” “Worse? Oh c’mon, Nikko… the fire’s out! Nothin’ can happen now!”" However, just then, the grill behind him burst into flames yet again…. and this time, the fire was much, much bigger. Immediately, he jumped back, and let out a horrifying screech. “THE FIRE… IT’S BACK!!! SOMEBODY, HELP!” ~~~ (It’s okay, ilovemoonie and emi! :) I think your guys’ characters acted just fine! Also, since the fire came back, you guys can feel free to have one of your characters grab a fire extinguisher to put out the fire… the only reason why…

…. I wanted Pikachu to put it out the first time around was so that he’d dump water on it and make it worse, haha XD If you guys decide not to, though, that’s fine, too! In that case, I’d just make Nikko put it out when I take my next turn)

(1.) Tanner heard more alarm and squealing spreading as everyone became more aware of the fire. Even after Pikachu’s little bird friend came to help, Pikachu ended up pouring water over the fire. Tanner pinched his forehead and closed his eyes, as if he had a headache. He knew this much: “Never put water on a grease fire! It’ll blow the fire up even bigger, making it even worse…” his dad used to say. He wanted to go help Pikachu, but he had to keep Chase calm.. He didn’t want to leave him, but yet Pikachu looked like he needed help.
“What to do, what to do,” he mumbled.
He heaved a sigh and decisively got up, taking Chase’s paw, and turning back to the distressed Taylor and Delilah.
“Taylor, Delilah! Come on now, it’s fine, just go over farther away where Tall Shadow and that Fallen Leaves guy just went,” he calmly pointed over toward the corner of the yard. …. -

Taylor opened her mouth to protest, but paused when Tanner reached out and rested a paw on her shoulder. She looked at him suspiciously as he stared at her.
He said more quietly, “Watch Chase and keep him feeling safe. And don’t freak out so much, or else Chase will get more upset. Can ya do that?”
Taylor raised her eyebrows, then nodded solemnly.
“Yeah.. okay. I’ll stay with him over there. I can be more calm.”
Tanner happily sighed in relief and smiled his thanks, then turned to leave. Now on a mission, Taylor was feeling much more confident. She smiled at Delilah and Chase, firmly grabbed one of each of their paws, and started walking.
“Alright, guys, let’s go! You heard the man, it’s safer over here.” …. -

Tanner ran toward Pikachu. The fire was getting surprisingly large now, probably due to the water he had just dumped on.
“Hey, careful, Pikachu!”
He grabbed Pikachu’s arm and pulled him farther back, as the fire grew large and hot.
“Do you know how to put out this sort of fire?”
He looked from Pikachu to Nikko. Then looked past them for a moment when he heard some kid screaming frantically. His brow was furrowed when he looked back at them.
“I think you use some sort of cooking powder like flour or something, but I’m not sure what it was..!”

Heya, Taffy! Sounds good. Page 166, is loading fine for me, but I understand that it isn’t working that great for everyone else. And I think that Pikachu’s Backyard Barbecue is an awesome roleplay! ANd it makes me a little, er, embarrassed. It was my first roleplay, and I didn’t exactly know what to do, and plus Snowy Dreams acts different in pretty much all of the scenes. XD Anyways, I don’t remember @Prettypikachu saying she would get out of it. Also, on page 3… =D

Hey, TaffyKitty! Thanks for moving Pikachu’s Backyard Barbecue on here and posting the discussion thread! :) I know no one else has really been having problems with it except me, (and it hasn’t been too bad for me), but I think moving it was the best thing to do, especially considering the Meet My New Pets forum is filling up anyways. Anyway, I can’t wait to continue this roleplay with you, emi, and MLP! :D It’s so much fun, and I can’t wait to see what other disastrous things happen XD Also, oh yeah, I almost forgot that PrettyPikachu was in it! She’s never really on here, though, and I’m pretty sure she only replied once, so I would assume that she’s not in it anymore, too.

Hello, guys! (Ah, sorry for not yet responding to your replies up above, MLP and ilovemoonie! XP I’ll try to do that soon) Well, this isn’t super important, but since it relates to this roleplay, I thought I’d post it here. I’m considering adding a new character of mine in several rounds, which is Melvin the Old English Sheepdog (I got him for my birthday a couple months ago, and finally decided on a name for him today). Basically, he’s some sort of guy that does exterior work on people’s homes and lawns (painting, landscaping, etc.) but he’s not very good at it… actually, instead of fixing things/making them look better, he always makes those things even worse. He’s also probably kind of lazy and/or shifty, and only accepts payments in the form of ham sandwiches. I dunno, he’s pretty weird XD But anyway, I was thinking of maybe having Pikachu invite him over to fix the damage caused by the grease fire, but Melvin only makes things worse and sets off a chain-reaction of bad events, before eventually leaving. I guess I thought it would be a more “natural” way to explain…

… the misfortunes at the barbecue, and I guess I thought it would be kinda fun to use him for awhile, heheh. (I told moonie about Melvin when we were at the park, and we came up with a hilarious discussion between him and Olaf XD I also think he’d probably annoy my other characters (Nikko, in particular), and probably steal most of Pikachu’s sandwiches) However, before I add him in, I wanted to ask you guys if it would be okay, first. What do you think? Would it be a good idea to add Melvin, or should I just save him for some other time? I don’t think I’ll ever make him an “official” character, but I guess I just thought it would kinda funny (and fitting) to add him in this. Anyway, lemme know what you think, and I look forward to continuing the roleplay with you guys, Melvin or no Melvin!

Wow, I always thought that I was the only one who didn’t like the Peanut Pup; it’s so popular! I mean, I do like it, I think its design is very charming, but I’m just not a big fan of cloyingly cute creatures (it’s just personal preference). For some reason I always fall for really weird things and think they’re adorable. For example, my favorite Pokémon is Tangela, the pile of blue spaghetti with Looney Tunes eyes and red sneakers. Everyone thinks I’m crazy but I SWEAR IT’S THE MOST ADORABLE THING EVER!!! I dunno, I’m just nuts. :P

I can’t wait to get the Flutter Pig and the Gingerbread Puppy plushes! They’re so quirky and original, especially the Gingerbread Puppy; it looks like GANZ put a lot of love into that one, which I absolutely adore. I love it when they make creative and unique pets; they look like they require a lot of effort, but the result is well worth it, in my opinion!
